Modern Family sized 304 stainless induction compatible PC - retires old non -induction Pres*o.

I have used a stainless 6qt Pres*o pressure cooker for at least 30 years. The old-fashioned simple 'weighted rocker' on top - it was predictable in use.The Pres*o is in the Goodwill pile now - replaced by this one. Why? Because it is not Induction compatible. And I have switched virtually all my stovetop cooking to that - because of its precise temperature control. This new pressure cooker is induction compatible, giving me precise and fast acting induction compatibility.Highly polished both inside and out. Compression-bonded tri-ply base designed for induction. If there is a downside to pressure cooking - it's how easy it is to scorch things - like chili - anything with much consistency. Particularly if you have been damned with a resistive coil electric stovetop. Gas - with its flames against the sides - also can be a problem - but at least it doesn't have the lag of electric. Now with induction, the chance of scorching is greatly reduced. Just keep the heat enough to maintain pressure - perhaps 325 on the induction - and even chili won't be a problem. One negative - a listing photo implies the sidewall construction is tri-ply. It is not. It is 304 single layer - the same sheet of 304 that is the interior. It tests non-magnetic, and would be magnetic if tri--ply. With compression-bonded bottom, scorching is less likely than with the old Pres*o. However, the single-layer sidewall means - never let a gas flame 'wrap up' the sides. Or it will scortch the contents.A modern, family-sized stainless PC, (Never, ever buy or use an Aluminum PC!) With induction compatibility.5 starsModern Family sized 304 stainless induction compatible Pressure Cooker - retires old non -induction Pres*o.

Amazing Quality, 304 Stainless Steel, and easy to use!

This 8.46 Quart Pressure Cooker is absolutely amazing. I don't even know where to begin. To start out, when I opened the box it was like staring into a mirror! The quality and durability to this Stainless steel pot is probably the best I've seen. Not only is the pot 304 Stainless Steel the bottom is so heavy duty and the feel of the pot is impressive yet it somehow doesn't feel heavy to lift. There are also measurement markings in the inside if the pot. The handles fold down with a push of a button for easier storage. The lid is super easy to use and not complicated. It also has a rack included for inside. It also comes with detailed instructions so you can better prepare yourself if you're a beginner (like me). I am using it in on a gas stove top but I know it can be used on other types of stove tops as well. I use to be so intimidated but this Pressure Cooker was Amazing! What you can do with this pressure cooker is endless and meal cook time is cut in half thanks to this pot! If you're looking for a quality Pressure Cooker, look no further! I HIGHLY reccomend!

Great product!

This pressure cooker is great, but arrived broken from shipping, as shown in the picture. While having a broken handle didn't remove the ability to use it, it made me uncomfortable having a very hot, high pressure vessel with only one handle, so I reached out to the seller. Happily, they were very willing to send replacements - not just the one broken handle, but two full sets to make sure I could use it. One star deducted for breakage during shipping, despite no damage to the box. If I could rate it 4.5 stars, I would. That said, I love how easy the clamping mechanism for the seal on this pressure cooker is. It's a huge upgrade in convenience and safety versus the old one I had. The size is perfect for a couple or a small family, and it makes cooking so fast. The price seems pretty solid versus others in a similar size, and that's without taking into account that this one has better features, AND customer support that was happy to fix what went wrong.I would strongly recommend this cooker!

Follow the instructions and you will be happy

This took a while to figure out and longer to master but it makes sort work of a lot of things. Have no used yogurt function yet but I hope to. It is worth taking the time to read the instructions and experiment.

Built Solid, Cooks Evenly, Handles Big Batches Beautifully

I’ve been using this Pressure Cooker and it’s a serious piece of cookware. It looks and feels high-quality. The stainless steel body feels rock-solid, and the locking mechanism clicks into place with a reassuring firmness. That secure seal matters—I never felt nervous about pressure building. Here’s what really stood out after cooking with it: the heat distribution is incredibly even. On my gas stove, I didn’t have to keep shifting the pot or worrying about scorching on one side, which is something I’ve dealt with on cheaper pressure cookers. I made fall-off-the-bone ribs (in 25 minutes), and they were tender all the way through—no tough spots, no uneven cooking. I also used it for chili and black-eye peas – all yummy. The size is perfect for big-batch meals and canning, and cleanup is simple—no stubborn residue around the rim, which is a huge plus. It’s intuitive to use, and the one-hand locking system makes it quick to set up. I did read the manual that comes with it, so I was clear on how it works. This is the kind of cookware that makes you want to cook more because it takes the stress out of the process. This pressure cooker is built for reliability and performs like a pro.
