Best Way To Always Have Fresh Soft Butter On Hand
Color: KhakiIn the past couple years, I've become a bit of a collecter of butter bells, or crocks. Not only do they hold your butter and keep it nice and soft and at more of a room temperature for much easier spreading, but I find them to be nice visual additions to my kitchen decor. Though this is a rather somewhat basic and simple one, it's actually well made. Nice thick walls and functions perfectly as it should. Can be stored in your fridge when away from home for a while, but meant to be set out on a counter or table. Be sure to change the water daily with fresh cold water. I do so almost every time I use the butter to be sure to keep up on its freshness. As you use the butter, do not top off with fresh butter. Instead, use it all up before replacing to ensure all of the butter is fresh. Because I have several of them, when mine gets low, I fill up another one for ready use once the earlier one is used up. When it comes time for cleaning, they clean very easily.Calling this color Khaki was a good choice. Though it appears to be more of a soft yellow on the product page, it's a little paler and more of a beige in real life. Still on the yellow side. Great for those who like natural types of colors in their kitchen.I do want to note something that some don't seem to understand. You will see a tiny hole along the side of the handle. That is not a mistake or flaw within the piece. The crafters put that there intentionally. The handle is thicker than any of the walls. The hole provides a little air pocket so that it does not explode when fired in the kiln. So don't worry about that hole when you see it there.Mine arrived in perfect condition. Packaged securely by the manufacturer with different sorts of padding.Offered at a great price of $9.99 (today's price). If you are curious about butter bells and crocks, this would be the perfect time to try one out to see if this is something that you would be interested in using.
