I bought this to replace my original starter jar that had a piece chip and go missing from the bottom. I love how heavy duty and thick the glass is. Thankfully, it fits in my warmer (barely). I also really like the wide mouth on it -- you're able to get everything out that you need versus having a lip or shoulder to maneuver around. Hold plenty of starter for what I usually bake.

Great Sourdough Starter Jar – Roomy, Practical, and Almost Perfect

I’ve really enjoyed using this sourdough starter container! It’s much larger than I expected, which has been great when I’m making multiple batches. I can just use this one jar instead of juggling several smaller ones. The temperature sticker is a nice touch, and I love the elastic band, which I mostly use to mark the starter level after feeding which is super helpful for tracking growth.The included scraper makes cleanup easier, and I appreciate the ml markings on the side for quick measurements. The black lid seals well and helps keep moisture in, which is important for maintaining a healthy starter.My only complaint is the shape of the bottom. It bows out slightly, and the base isn’t completely flat, which creates an awkward little corner that makes stirring and cleaning a bit tricky. If it were straight-sided, it would be nearly perfect.Still, this jar has been a solid upgrade from what I was using before, and I definitely think it was worth the money.

Cool idea, does what I need.

Been using this for a while, temperature stickers seemed like a waste of time so I never used them. The rubber top for the fridge and the butter knife spatula are probably the most useful parts of the kit other than the band and the container itself.
