I bought this for the adjustable angle for sharpening your knives. I have some expensive German cooking knives and I called the manufacture to determine the blade angle. Now I give my knives a few swipes through the sharpener after every use and there read to go !
This knife sharpener is one of the more specific and versatile sharpeners I’ve used, and I really like that it’s designed to accommodate different types of blades. It tells you which slot to use for chef’s knives, serrated knives, paring knives, and even scissors. There are different angles marked for each type, which is helpful once you understand how it works, although I will say there is a bit of a learning curve. I had to look up some instructions and watch a couple of videos to fully grasp the best technique, especially for scissors, which I found a bit awkward to use at first. I suspect once I get the angle and motion right, it will work perfectly for them as well.For knives, though, this sharpener is excellent. With my previous sharpener, I often had to pull a knife through 15–20 times to get it adequately sharp. With this one, it only takes about five pulls, and the knives come out incredibly sharp and ready to use. It’s quick, efficient, and actually makes a noticeable difference in cutting performance. I especially love using it for chef’s knives because the angle guides make it feel precise, and it restores my dull knives to near-new condition without any guesswork.The sharpener itself is a bit larger than my previous one, so it takes up a little more space in my cabinet under the stove, but the tradeoff is worth it for the quality of sharpening you get. I appreciate having it stored and ready because it’s reliable and consistent. Overall, while there is a small learning curve for the first few uses, this sharpener is highly effective, well-built, and worth the investment for anyone who wants professional-quality knife sharpening at home.
This is a great knife sharpener that would be a welcome addition in any kitchen. It's easy and safe to use, and does a great job of sharpening with just a few swipes if you do it on a regular basis.
This is a review for the KIBSTOY - Knife SharpenerBUILD:This Knife Sharpener has a plastic body with three metal sharpening grooves.The first two sharpening grooved are a coarse and fine sharpening blade with the third being for serrated blades and scissors. The coarse groove has a rotating dial which brings a differently angled groove in order to accommodate different grind angles for the blade youre trying to sharpen.The bottom of the sharpener has two rubber pads which will grip to most common kitchen counter top materials.There is an ergonomic handle to provide stability when the sharpener is in useThis sharpener also comes with a cut resistant gloveUSE:This device is used to sharpen a variety of knives including those found in the kitchen, pocket knives, as well as scissors and other small, hand-held, bladed style tools.SUMMARY:I have used several handheld sharpeners similar to this one but of those I found this one very comfortable to use.This is the first model I have tried which attempted to accommodate for the factory angle of the blade. Trying to sharpen a blade with the wrong angle just damages the blade edge and its not the right tool for that kind of rework.While there is a coarse and fine sharpening groove for standard bladed knives, I would rather have had an even finer, ceramic sharpening groove in place of the serrated blade/scissor sharpening groove for an even finer finish.These kinds of handheld sharpeners are great for those who lack the patience and skill to use and tradtional, seven-step wet-stone system. This product removes most the difficulties, mess, and potential damage you can do to a blade with a wetstone series.How good this product works, or rather how much work you'll have to do to get a good sharp blade, will depend on the steel your knife is made from. My EDC knife is S35VN which is a premium steel. The sharpener did a great job putting a nice edge back on this heavily used blade.I got this product to use in-between wet-stone shapening and to keep my blade useable after heavy use. This is a great product to give your blade edge and little attention if its starting to dull.I enjoyed using this product and found to be a quick solution to restoring my blade to a good sharp edge.
I really like this knife sharpener I just used it today I had a couple of knives so we're giving me a little trouble my old sharpener it was so hard to hold on to I'm left-handed so it made it even more it just was hard difficult where this one has a nice you could use it for left hand or right hand or you have to obviously start with one or the other I am a left-hander so it's going to be that way so to sharpen my knives I it was always such a nightmare because it would always flop over on my old one where this one has little gripper things it's it's a whole enclosed handle not an arch and I think that's the difference.I love the fact that it also has a place for your serrated knives to get sharpened as well as your shears to sharpen those there's other adjustments that can be made as far as the knives that you have and it's reading in the booklet What specifically you're looking for to be sharpened.This was very simple easy great price point and I would actually would definitely want to buy another one of these and I almost want to in case they don't make them anymore cuz it's so hard to find something that works when your left handed that you can use and this one is and they don't mention this in the in the listing but you can use it left or right-handed but you have to if you're left-handed you have to keep using it with your left hand otherwise you're going to screw your knives up. But other than that this the sharpened my knives so amazingly I love it it's perfect just what I needed.
