This is a good thermometer! The easy open and close is appreciated when your hands are busy in the kitchen. While not exactly instant, it's a very quick read and results are accurate compared to another version I have already. The display is easy to see and it is easy to wash up. Love this easy use thermometer
I love this meat thermometer. Because it has a 1 second quick read, it is NIST certified for accuracy. I love that. It's waterproof, I cannot tell you how many we've ruined that way. It has auto rotating display so that you can use it for the grill or smoke or even in your kitchen. We love the design of it. You know we have it a dropped a couple times and it has not messed up. It's really been great? We've gone through a couple prior to finding this one, so this one really seems to be pretty sturdy. I like that. It's backlit so that you can actually read it, and it appears to have really given accurate readings, you know, so that really matters so that we're not you know, getting sick. It does require a triple-a battery. It does come with one, but you don't have to change it at some point.And so it will be one triple, a battery, and again, one second respond time.You can't beat that.I highly recommend price point.Absolutely, great for this quality of a digital thermometer.

Excellent and handy!
This is a great cooking thermometer that works on a on a replaceable battery (it came with one pre installed ) . It can be configured for fahrenheit or Celsius by the click of a button and locked into that configuration .What stands out is that the thermometer has a needle that folds in when not used but when opened out, automatically switches on the thermometer and LED!No need to press any buttons it just switches on and off based on the needle position.Even when on , it supports a wide range of angles for the needle, this is great when you are baking something and do not want to completely lift out the dish out of the oven. It's been thoughtfully designed.The needle is long and all metal. I like that the needle has nothing plastic about it. Other products in the market have a small metal needle embedded in plastic that can melt and get into food. But not this!!We love this thermometer for all our cooking needs .It has a sticker at the back that lists recommended temperature for different meat types. Good addition to any kitchen .

Nice simple meat thermometer
There's a lot of meat thermometers out there including nicer ones like thermal pro. Are they worth the money? Maybe, but I'm not a super serious meat smoker or cook. I like something simple and easy. This fits the bill. It turns on and off by folding open/close the probe. It has a nice simple backlight and a C/F temp option. The temp reading is fast, as advertised. The magnet works for attaching to fridge. The display will rotate depending on how you're holding it, which his a great feature. With movement, the backlight will also come back on. It might be nice if there was a way to control the light, but it doesn't take much to get it back on. It even has a simple internal temp key on the back. Hard to beat the simplicity and usefulness of this. I can see professionals wanting some other features but for the price this can't be beat and I'm very happy to have it for cooking and occasional smoking.

Gets the job done
This is a typical digital meat thermometer. I thought I had lost mine, so I wanted to try this one. Works perfectly. I appreciate the temperature guide on the back. Very easy to read and you can toggle between Fahrenheit and celsius. 10/10

Great so far
Not much to say about a thermometer, it either works or it doesn't. This one works, and like they advertised, it is fast and I love that.My old digital thermometer was not very fast and I would always think to myself "OK, any moment now" but not until I tried this new one did I realize just how old and slow the old one was! I also like the fact that it is no frills, doesn't try to do anything more than temp food. It's got the one button to go from Fahrenheit to Celsius and that's it. Another plus is the fact that the readout lights up on its own immediately after unfolding, again no extra buttons to push or things to wear out.So far it has worked great, fits in our hands comfortably - mine, wife's and even the kids have tried using it. Only been using it about a week so cannot speak to how long the battery will last, but if anything like my "old" one, it will last for years. Only time will tell.
