Great prep board and extra space for cooking, but it's not meant to replace your main cutting board
(My review is for the bigger 19.7" x 15.7" board) This titanium cutting board is definitely bigger than my regular cutting boards, but it's much lighter than I imagined so it's really easy for me to handle. My kitchen is small, so I mostly use this as extra prep space in place of two of my glass cutting boards side by side (you know, the ones with the bumpy surface). I love how deep it is, too, it gives me so much room! It's almost closer to a square than a rectangle. And even though it doesn't have rubber feel, there's the lip that hooks onto the counter, so it stays put and doesn't slide around. It's thin and not bulky, so when I'm done using it, I slide it in between the counter and the fridge.I also like that it doesn't hold food smells. I've cut onions and fish on this and the smell washes right off (it stays on my hands though, ugh, lol!), and cleanup is so easy since it's all titanium. The listing says it's dishwasher-safe, and sure, it technically fits in my dishwasher (I feel like we have your average sized dishwasher), but it basically fills the whole top rack. So I'd rather just wash it myself in the sink as I cook and finish using it. I also do wonder if cutting on this will dull my knives quicker, but I think it feels about the same as cutting foods on my glass board. I've mostly used it for prep and drier foods, since there's nothing to keep juices from running off the edge.I think for me, the biggest bonus in using this titanium board is the peace of mind. So before this, I was using the heavier tempered glass bumpy surface prep board and before that, I was using my flimsy plastic prep mats that were full of knife gouges. With this, I'm not worrying about bacteria soaking in or plastic bits ending up in my food, which makes it feel like a cleaner healthier surface for food prep.
