I'm impressed

I had low expectations for this knife based on the price point, and I was surprised. It's a rugged, handmade style - but the handle is very well done. Usually that's where companies skimp on the knife.Then the metal. This knife definitely has a handmade look to it. The blade itself wasn't absolutely perfect. There are a couple very slight dings at the edge. It didn't make any difference, though. They send you this knife SHARP.I washed it thoroughly to get the machining oils off, let it air dry. Then I de-boned eight chicken legs with it. I did not sharpen or hone the knife first myself. It was nearly razor sharp. I was able to trim the chicken legs cleanly. I did cut into bone and cartilage several times. The knife cuts cartilage and meat equally well with clean cuts.Afterwards, again without sharpening it, I took a video of cutting through a sheet of paper. The knife took no obvious damage from the chicken legs. It's sharp.This is a fun knife to have on hand. It will come to a lot of use in cutting and prepping meat.

Exceptional value for a very sharp and nice looking knife

This knife is surprisingly nice for the price. It is quite heavy and the weight is balanced with the handle heavier than the blade. I have small hands, so the handle is too long for my hand but I can still use this with no issues. I like that the rocking is shorter due to the curvature of the blade – which is very sharp right out of the box. I have used this on a Boston butt and found that the finger hole lends more control than I had known it would to follow along a blade bone. This knife gets 5 stars all around from me for function, quality of build, and for appearance. I can't imagine that anyone would find themselves disappointed with it – especially at this price.
