Very sharp, sturdy and comfortable

This review is on the santoku, not the boning knife. Arrived in good condition, although definitely not gift quality packaging as advertised. Seller states the color is purple. I see no purple and have no idea what they are referring to- which is a good thing. I have several "santoku" knives- Shun, henckel, etc. This knife is 217 grams total weight. Sturdy blade. The "Damascus" finish is excellent so far at release of thinly cut vegetables and meats. At 217 grams and its' thick blade, it could be used as a chefs knife I suppose. We have only juat begun to put the knife through the laps, but I have already noticed us grabbing it before the Shun. Time will time.
