I got this knife and was happy with the thickness of the tang going through the handle. I don’t trust factory sharpness and own a professional sharpener.This knife is awesome. I sliced venison. Inherently dense and hard to slice this life cut through it REALLY like cheese.Don’t buy a knife and complain about it not being sharp…do the work. It’s a tool.

Knife works well and very sharp
Purchase this knife as a gift for the big fisherman in our hunting group. She loves it! Nice handle she can hold onto. Scales fish quickly as well as chopping and slicing the fish up. She has used it with other meats and tells me it is great!

Super sharp knife! Very smooth when cutting. The only thing I would change is the tip on the knife is a little bit longer than I love for myself. I have smaller hands- and like smaller knives for when I am cutting. Overall- I really liked this knife.
Pleasantly surprised With the all-around quality of this knife. The box it came in was very nice, the sheath is very high-quality, and likewise the knife. There are no rough spots on the tang,, or Wood handle. Polished blade was sufficiently sharp. Size, health, and balance were fine. This is certainly not a high end knife, but for the price it is in my opinion worth more. I would I would say the sheath alone if you bought it separately would be worth at least half or more of the price.UPDATE: note that this knife is not hardened and should not be used for chopping. I was cleaning a small tuna and did one chop and dented the edge. I was able to fix but this was very disappointing. Still good design to clean fish but know the limits on the knife.
