I have no other spring ramp to compare it to, but it is definitely better than the one that came with my breville barista machine. It is more consistent and I am able to make good espresso with it. I like this tamp because it fits my porta filter, it has the imprint to make more consistent flow across the puck, and it is supposed to prevent me from putting too much pressure. I cannot measure that well, but I will say my pucks have come out much easier and more together (rather than being uneven on the top, or coming out in pieces). I would 100% buy it again. It looks sleek and feels solid and heavy, not like cheap plastic or anything. 4 stars is just because I have nothing to compare it to and it didn’t beat any expectations. It was just what I was looking for.
