Nice Piece of Practical Art

I am the grill master. That does not mean I have all the perfect utensils - it just means I am in charge of grilling at my house and it is my job to time how long the food stays on the heat and to take it off of the heat at the end of that time. Many times when I go back inside to grab a fork and knife to test the food first, I just grab whatever fork I see, whether it be a dessert fork, salad fork, or even olive fork - it never mattered because it is just to hold the food while I cut in to test. - and our one meat fork is never in the same place when I need it.Then I saw this fork and knew it would be mine and could actually solve a small nagging issue of a dedicated meat fork that would be super easy to keep up with - AND - looks cool. This is a really nice fork. The size is smart and very practical. It has a very nice finish to it, and the tines are sharp. What is especially nice is the weight; it feels solid, sturdy, and strong. The one thing that might enhance this fork is another one that is a bit thinner - maybe two sizes sold individually or even as a set. In my video, we are cutting pork tenderloin - it would be nice to have a couple of tines closer together for easier positioning and holding of smaller meats. Conversely, we used it again for a London Broil, a larger and thicker cut of meat - and still both times it worked magnificently.Overall, I am pleased with this meat fork from Quality Art Practical - it is all of those - it is quality - it is practical - and frankly it is a piece of art that is nice to look at on a plate of meat - or even by itself.I would highly recommend this meat fork to my friends and relatives and rate it five stars!

A tool perfect for a family of butchers rather than carvers—It is making us better

Every time the main dish is ready to carve, the knife is refused by one and all, be it a turkey, prime rib, or a simple roast that needs to be served—and fast. We are all gun-shy after the shredding or miscutting of nearly every piece of meat we serve for holiday dinners at our house. Well, we can pull off meatloaf. Sometimes. Like the classier main courses, even meatloaf has to rest a bit and my husband is too anxious to wait. When I found this handy tool, I thought that if we could skewer a big hunk of meat down with this tabletop pitchfork, at least it wasn't going to get away from us as we hack away. My husband and I have used the fork for household meals so far with decent success. I'm waiting to see if I can get volunteers for turkey carving on Thanksgiving. I think a couple of my family would be intrigued by this thing I might rename the Devil's Fork. Someone might be willing to step up to gain some carving success. After all the turkey massacres we've overseen, success is just what we all deserve! If you can pull off carving your turkey with that nice carving set you have, ignore this review. But if you are like us—people who leave behind a mess like the Texas chainsaw massacre, try this giant fork for a fist.It works. I mean it. It works!

Nice

This is ok. It will take me some time to become accustomed to using something like this instead of a regular meat fork. It is robust and should last forever.

Awesome, fun way to hold a large roast for carving.

This product is a specialized fork meant for holding a turkey, ham, or brisket in place with one hand while sawing slices with the other hand. It is well adapted for that use, and it also has a really artistic design to it. I have used it on a large whole chicken and it worked just fine to keep the meat in place while cutting. The fact that the fork holds a wide surface area of the meat is what makes it better than using a regular size fork, or sometimes I just stick a large knife into the meat with my other hand, but that is never a great idea.In addition to being very practical for this specific purpose, this product just looks awesome. It almost looks like one of those weird self-defense things you would get at the mall or a gas station! It is definitely a conversation piece that you can bring out to the table with the meat for people to check out. When not in use, I have it on display in one of my glass door cabinets so everyone can see it. It is truly a one if a kind utensil!

This Is A Work Of Art...Not A Fork.

Why have I been using grill tongs all these years?!?!Can a carving fork be beautiful...because this carving fork is beautiful. Solid, weighty, highly polished steel that just feels so good in your hand while serving up a meal. Designed to work. Designed like an art piece. I almost hate to get it dirty every time I use it.Much heavier than I expected, which is a sign of the quality and a guarantee it will stay where you stick it. The fork has a smooth finish that is easy to grip and makes me feel like a fancy 5 star restaurant chef. And it was made for gifting. The packaging and drawstring bag make for a great presentation. This fork deserves every star.

Awesome fork

This may not look like a fork but it is awesome for folding meat down while cutting. Very hearty for the size. It is easy to hold and the short handle gives me more control than a long fork. Great addition to the kitchen.
