Want to be a fan but not sold on this device. First the lack of real instructions drives me nuts, there's this small maybe 4x6 when opened paper that comes with it and says press function (me using all my creative words trying to get the function button to respond to me past the first press, was an exercise in frustration) The whole minimal/maximum water lines which for someone whose not owned an electric egg cooker is filled with more guessing. Now, for those saying go to the internet, if I paid money for something I want it to come out of the box with instructions not play where's Waldo with how to operate it. The machine cooked the eggs, see picture. The machine cooked the panda buns (no after picture because I was starving as it took forever for me to get the function button on that side to go past soft boiled eggs) You could hear it boiling that water which was cool, the beep I'm done is nice too. The electric cord being able to be removed from the back so I'm not panicked about getting it wet when dumping out the water at the end it awesome. But in the end the machine and I are still battling, I'm not a fan so far of the taste, quality and overall working progress of this thing. I am not giving up though because it has potential, those tea eggs are so mine! The custard oh that is so mine too, but the struggle is real because again no instructions and if it came with those and maybe a recipe starter book this would be amazing.
I already owned a traditional egg cooker that could steam about five eggs, and that was literally all it could do. When I saw this unit, what caught my attention was that it could run multiple trays at once and wasn’t limited to just eggs.We used to own a large rice cooker / vegetable steamer, but we don’t eat rice often enough to justify the counter space, so we got rid of it. This ended up quietly replacing that.So far I’ve used this to:• Steam eggs• Steam vegetables• Cook rice• Steam bao buns (Asian-style filled buns)Being able to cook four different things in one compact unit is what makes this special. You can stack the trays, run it, and have an entire meal cooking at once instead of juggling multiple pots.It also includes a small container for cooking eggs directly, which is great if you don’t want to use the racks. What surprised me most is how efficient and convenient it is — it’s not just an egg cooker, it’s really a mini countertop steamer that does far more than its name suggests.⸻Pros• Can cook eggs, vegetables, rice, and bao buns• Two-tier stacked trays let you cook multiple things at once• Replaced my old egg cooker and vegetable steamer• Compact compared to a full-size rice cooker• Includes a container for cooking eggs• Saves time and counter space⸻Cons• Larger than a basic egg cooker• Might be overkill if you only ever cook eggs⸻InsightfulnessIf you only want to boil a few eggs, a cheap egg cooker is fine. But if you want a multi-purpose countertop steamer that can handle eggs, vegetables, rice, and buns at the same time, this is a fantastic upgrade. It’s one of those rare kitchen appliances that actually earns its spot by replacing several others. Easy 5 out of 5. 🥚🍚🥟 3e3e
I had high hopes for this electric egg cooker, especially since it claims to hold up to 16 eggs, but it ended up being a disappointment. One of the biggest issues is the design of the bottom tray — it has a small lip where water and food residue collect during cooking, and it’s extremely difficult to clean. Because you can’t properly reach that area, it raises serious concerns about bacteria buildup over time.On top of that, the eggs never cook consistently. No matter how much I adjusted the time or water level, they always came out either undercooked or overcooked, and peeling them was a struggle every time. The cooker also heats unevenly, which makes me wonder if there’s a flaw in the heating element or overall design.Between the poor cleaning design and unreliable cooking results, I can’t recommend this egg cooker. It just has too many issues to be worth the hassle.
The first thing that immediately frustrated me was the lack of instructions. What I got in the box was a tiny folded paper, and that was it. For me, that’s nowhere near enough for a device with multiple functions, trays, water levels, and buttons. I found myself guessing about the minimum and maximum water lines, especially since I’ve never owned an electric egg cooker before. That said, the machine does cook. My eggs did cook, and I also used it to steam hargow.I actually liked hearing the water boiling— it reassured me that something was happening— and the “I’m done” beep is a nice touch. One feature I genuinely love is that the power cord detaches from the back. That makes it easier to clean.the consistency is questionable. Sometimes they cook fully sometimes they don’t.On the positive side, I do appreciate the capacity. Being able to cook up to 16 eggs is impressive, and I like that I can stack trays and use it for more than just eggs. It doesn’t take up much counter space for what it does, and cleanup has been easy for me so far.
