A Truly Different Kind of Non-Stick Technology, I am Very Impressed
I grew up with Teflon. As a child, Teflon was a relatively new technology and it was flawed enough. However, over time, until the whole "forever chemical" thing started, I thought the technology was much improved and the only thing that I fry frequently is eggs so how bad could it be? Well, the RedChef Frying Pan has taught me just how bad it was because there is no need for butter or oil or cooking spray, when the egg is fried, it is just loose in the pan, while it is cooking, it is not. The same thing happened with a pancake, I was able to fill the whole pan and just flip it over once there were no more bubbles and it was just a beautiful golden color, no brown, no black, just a soft golden hue. If it weren't for the rivets where the handle attaches, I do not think that there is any place where anything will stick to this pan because it is coated on the outside as well as the inside. This pan may be dishwasher safe but I have yet to need to put it in the dishwasher because nothing sticks so wiping it with a paper towel over the sink before a pass with a sponge and a rinse has been plenty. At first, I was somewhat put off by the color, however, it quickly grew on me because the contrast with the bright handle looks really nice just sitting on the stove --I do not know why but I find it captivating. After washing the pan, I just leave it on the stove because it looks so elegant. I have stainless steel cookware and I have a commercial teflon coated frying pan and none are anything that I want to look at unless I am actively using them. This pan, on the other hand, maybe it is the color of the stove, however, it just looks like it belongs there. There is no problem, it is perfectly clean because nothing sticks to it.What I have heard is that there will be problems after a year and, if that happens to, in fact, be the case, I will update my review at that time. Currently, after multiple dozens of eggs, it is no longer surprising and I no longer have to keep such a close eye on the eggs to get them just the way I want them, when they are cooked, they slide right off and onto the plate, no spatula, black plastic or otherwise, needed. It remains to be seen if fish with the skin still on also responds that way; I hope it does, I really do enjoy the layer of salmon fat right next to the skin! Interestingly, chicken does not seem to stick at all even while it is cooking --boneless, skinless, breast. I am not one to throw things away willy nilly so the Teflon pan is going into the stove drawer for now. The RedChef Frying Pan has become my go to pan.Someone might argue that the comparison I am making is quite unfair because the Teflon pan is not brand new and it has served me very well indeed. As a counterargument, I would say that the experience of using the pan has been different from the start. It has been pointed out to me that the use of non-stick spray on teflon pans ruins the coating because it coats it with a kind of varnish so that your food is sticking to something that is already stuck to the pan. On the other hand, no one said either "use" or "don't use" non-stick spray with this ceramic pan, it just hasn't been needed at all. The experience has been one of accepting that there is no need to unstick the egg while it is cooking because it will release on its own once it is cooked.

Quality Skillet With Great Looke And Comfortably Light.
Excellent piece of kitchen ware. This is my first ceramic pan and it's great because this Redchef skillet brings quality you can tell from as soon as you open the box and lift it it's extremely comfortable and light I use believe it or not an iron skillet 12 inch and it's so old school you know? where you have to preheat the surface so your food don't stick etc etc, lol and it's ok when you know how to use iron skillets but they are so heavy! but I also use a regular Teflon nonstick skillet that I often have to keep changing for new ones because they literally wear out or scratch easy so when I saw this Redchef for one the color is nice and different its beige, this pan looks modern so it's attractive and it looked like quality stuff and when I recieved it did not disappoint . I been using dollar store skillets that don't let food stick either in the beginning but it's how long they last cheaper skillets don't last too long so the difference here is how light and how long this pan will be around and yes much less oil you need and how comfortable the pan is, I expect this Redchef to be around for some time This skillet has not gotten stained dark from the heat so far I think theceramic coating is very good eggs or anything for that matter just jump off the surface like if I just move the handle and they start skating lose inside lol and the size is perfect I said if I'm going to try a new pan then I need a larger size I didn't want more small size pans so this fit the bill 11 inch so this is just a quality cooking instrument that to me is very much worth the money because when it comes to kitchen utensils sometimes you want items that will be around for a while. Thanks I recommend it. Quality stuff here from Redchef. 👍

Food Really Does Slide Right Out!
I've never owned a cooking pan this nice before and decided to give this one a try. I cook for myself only and on occasion for one other person so this 8" pan is an excellent size for that. Because the pan is 2" deep, I can cook a variety of different dishes in it, everything from fried eggs to a stir fry for two to a pan fried steak. This pan is also great for those healthy all-in-one frozen bag meals for when you're short on time, plus they fit perfectly because of the 2" depth of the pan.The pan is exactly 8" across and the handle is 6.5" long and constructed with a heavy duty material which remains cool to the touch even at high temperature cooking. The best feature about these pans is the 100% non-toxic non stick ceramic coating that makes cleaning them a breeze. You can literally wipe them clean with a soft cloth and hot water and you don't need any abrasive sponges or harsh cleaners. I've only used the pan about a half dozen times so far, but it's still brand new looking because of that coating that covers the entire pan, including the underside of it. I think RedChef went all out when they created this line of cook wear because the quality is exceptional. The pan comes with a welcome card explaining their mission in creating their 100% non-toxic cook wear with an attention to healthy cooking and cook wear that is constructed with our planet in mind, using only responsibly sourced materials to create a safe and healthy cooking experience. The pan also comes with an entire instruction booklet with a table of contents, providing tips on cooking on every type of stove surface, from conduction to gas to glass ceramic surfaces.I've enjoyed using this pan so much that I've decided to begin purchasing more of them when I can. As far as the price point, I'd say they lean toward the higher end of pricing, but when compared to other similar pans that are out there on the market, I believe these RedChef pans are an excellent value because with proper care, they'll last you a lifetime! I wouldn't hesitate at all to recommend these pans to my friends and others wanting a healthy way of cooking!
