Alarm quiet works good though
Works good. Alarm is quiet though, barely can hear it and it only alarms for 60 seconds, so hard to know/hear if you arent right there when it trips. Tells temperatures!

These seem to work very well. The temperature tracks well through typical indoor & outdoor temperatures (I verified it for a week with a Fluke thermocouple). The alarm is not super loud, but suitable for indoor use. So far all positive.
I got this to alarm.us if the freezer gets above a certain temp. It works well however when the freezer does get above the set temp, the alarm on goes off for a few minutes. I would prefer it if the alarm went off continuously until the temp returned to normal
Sadly we had one of our two small freeers stop working, and we had no idea of what was transpiring. Fortunately, we keep the foods we go for frequently in it, the smaller of our 2 freezers. We were able to salvage most of our food by cooking it and refreezing it. But we could have lost everything. It's very easy to set up, and alternates displaying ambient room temperature and freezer temperature. The display also indicates whatever you set as the maximum and minimum temperatures. An alarm will sound whenever the freezer temper goes above or drops below your parameters, and it's loud enough to attract attention from several rooms away. These thermometers have a long cord on the interior probe which allows you to place the device in an unobtrusive location on the outside of the appliance. They are well worth having; if your freezer stops working you can lose hundreds of dollars. This is a small cost to prevent that.
Stopped working after 3 weeks. Worked fine until it didn't
The directions were almost comical. Misspellings, incomplete sentences, and confusing descriptions.
I got it to keep track of the temperature inside a bag that I keep medications in. It was going along fine until the meat probe thermometer I was using died. So, I figured I would give this a try.It came with the needed single battery, it was easy to set up, it did come with a bit of instructions - it has an alarm that lets you know if you go outside the expected and set range - and it goes back and forth between the temperature OUTSIDE and the temperature INSIDE. SO you know the differences. It was much easier than some other guages, I haven't had it go outside the range yet to say how the alarm works but as far as I can see it's a pretty good temperature guage for upper and lower limits. Definitely $15 worth.
