I bought these exclusively to make ricotta. In the past I have used cheesecloth that I had to double or triple up and left threads in my ricotta. This one has a very tight weave with sown edges - perfect for my use. It didn’t shed any threads. As a bonus, after I used one, I rinsed it in the sink and threw it in the washer and drier. It shrunk a little but was able to be reused. 100% worth the money!
I love these. They work great for filtering and I found that I will use them for other things too like castor oil packs and for gentle hand wiping while cooking. Having a large wuantity is very convenient so I don’t run out of them fast. Wash them all up on laundry day for reuse perfect
I'm very impressed by the weight and sturdiness of this product. I bought cheesecloth at a local store years ago and was perplexed because it didn't seem to really strain anything. This is woven finely enough to truly be used as a cheesecloth and nicely hemmed.
I use these for proofing sourdough and they are fabulous!! I use way less rice flour and save all those dollar bills.
Holy COW. First off, great value for what you get. These work so well. We bought specifically for tallow making/straining and canning homemade broths and things. We have yet to clean one since we legitimately just used them for the first time 3 minutes ago. That’s how well this worked. A process that normally takes 4-5 renders SIGNIFICANTLY cut down by this cheesecloth. It’s fine enough to let liquids through but barely, if any, solids made it through it and our 12 quart fine mesh strainer. A must have for home canning.
Thick, good stitching on the edges. Enough for all my Art Club to make little ghosts. They are about the size of average dinner paper napkins. Imagined they’d be a bit larger but they worked fine!
Bought it for a friend who’s an herbalist. She needed extra thought I’d help her out with the little I have. But she said they work perfectly for her and was very appreciative can’t wait to get my next gift basket from her
