Fits my 1978 Sears blender
It says this is for Hamilton Beach, but it does also fit my Sears 1978 blender (Model No. 400.829302). Glad to be able to keep using my blender with this new base. Have been using it for about 2 months making smoothies that include ice cubes and this part is working well.

My 20 year old blender is usable again!
The base of my blender split and so the blender was no longer usable but I found this replacement - with blades and two gaskets - I couldn't find my model number in the list (Hamilton Beach 54299) but it fits perfectly and works very well - in this day and age of disposable everything I try to use things until I can't anymore so this will help - I bin things when the motor goes out - hope this one holds on a little longer since I just replaced my 12 year old toaster and my 17 year old waffle iron...

Fits right onto my blender!
I was so happy to find this replacement part for my glass butchered Hamilton Beach blender. I twisted the original on top enthusiastically and snapped it. Definitely not durable! But this new one is doing just the trick! It’s sealed on, not leaking, and the value is fair. Functionality it great too, I’m back to blending all of my favorite smoothies and treats.

Poorly made, won't last long.
I bought three of these from "different" companies here on A. 1.) They are all poorly made with the identical manufacturing defects. If you look at the bottom where the rubber blades are attached there is a random glob of metal of various proportions apparently used to secure it to the upper metal cutting blade. The globs all vary in size and shape and show the obvious lack of quality control. 2.) The black rubber blades started disintegrating at the first use, leaving black particles and debris behind. 3.) The angle of the metal cutting blades does not match the OEM Hamilton Beach metal blade angles. With all of these imitations the metal blade angles are lower. They should be more acute. This is important because it absolutely affects the ability of the blender to actually do all the functions correctly and efficiently. We have blended the same ingredients in morning smoothies for years using the OEM blades. These imitation blades take a LOT longer and leave a lot of un-blended ingredients behind. When making a soup puree I get a LOT more cavitation and have to stop and start a number of times. Pulsing does not work to correct the cavitation caused by the poor blade angles. I would not buy again. My Hamilton Beach part lasted more than 20 years before wearing out. These, about 20 seconds. I buy products to use, not put in a landfill.

Fits fine in Hamilton Beach Model 640-2, but blades are not particularly sharp
Product as described, fits without issue in Hamilton-Beach model 640-2, works fine, but the blades are not very sharp.I mean ok, one doesn't expect (or want) blender blades to be razor-sharp, they wouldn't hold up to tough foods like nuts or similar. But the blades on this product seem to be a bit too dull. I compared the sharpness "by finger" to the blade set from a different blender that I have (Osterizer), and the difference just by finger-feel is pretty obvious. In other respects (gaskets, base) all is well, but took off one star for the blade sharpness issue.
