A good option for homes with senior dogs who need better traction
I picked this jute kitchen rug set mainly for my senior dog, not just for kitchen decor. As dogs get older, slipping on smooth floors becomes a real issue, and I was looking for something low profile that could add traction without becoming a tripping hazard. The first thing I noticed is that the rugs stay in place very well. The non slip backing works as advertised, and even on a smooth kitchen floor they do not slide around when stepped on. Okay rug, but thinner than expected
This rug looks decent and the neutral woven style fits into different rooms easily, but it’s not what I think of when I hear “jute rug.” It’s a very flat weave with fine fibers, not the thicker jute rope texture that usually gives that natural, chunky look. Because of that, it doesn’t add much cushioning underfoot.The rubber backing keeps it from slipping, which is helpful in a kitchen or entryway. It can’t be machine washed of course, so I vacuum alot and spot clean. It generally matches the description, just not very impressive in person. Good if you want something low-profile and simple, but don’t expect the thicker texture some jute rugs have.

Looks great, low profile
This rug is perfect for our back door. It's pretty rigid, and the no slip grip keeps it in place when our dogs come running. I don't think it would provide any under foot comfort as a kitchen mat where you're standing a lot, but in high traffic areas it's a win.

Tightly woven jute rug, with anti-slip backing at a great price point.
This cute, natural runner is made very well. The stitching is close together, and you can easily vacuum this as the knots are tight. It also has a rubber backing so that it won't slide when you step on it. Also with the anti-slip backing on the rug, dirt will not fall through any small holes. I have a large knotted jute rug and dirt just falls through the loops and knots, it's really difficult to vacuum. This rug would prevent that from happening. With the tight knots, it will be easy to vacuum as well. The natural design is very in style right now. This natural rug would look great in any style of home. It states on the Amazon page that this is hypoallergenic, is eco-friendly, is natural and sustainable, and will not shed. Hooray for that. The rug is 20 in x 47 in. The quality is good and I believe it to be a durable rug. The price point is great.

Doesn't slide
I LOVE THIS RUG.I have these crappy laminate floors that were installed before I bought this house, and my poor dog just slips and slides down the hallway every time she runs. It's not safe for her, so I'd installed several rugs strategically throughout the house at all the points where she would run and try to turn, except that from my main hallway into the living room, she never seemed to be able to get enough traction, even with the rug I already installed there.This rug has been excellent at helping her to get more grip so that her legs don't go sliding out from under her when she runs at a breakneck pace down the hall and tries to make the 90° turn.On top of helping her to get more traction, I love that it's actually attractive and doesn't slip out from under her feet when she runs like a Looney Toons character. I'm not typically the biggest fan of jute because it's scratchy and coarse, but this rug is a finer weave and doesn't feel like something that belongs in a barn instead of in a home. The edges are also very nicely finished, which I appreciate, and I haven't noticed it shedding jute fibers, like I've seen other people's jute rugs do. The natural color of this jute is super pretty and matches with my very neutral, modern organic decor.My only wish is that it were a bit wider, or that there were more options for a wider mat, since my hallway would benefit from a bit more coverage, but I'm so happy with this rug as it is, that I can't really complain.
