This bread slicer is great and I’m really happy with it. The adjustable guide makes it super easy to get even slices every time. I want thick slices for toast and thinner ones for sandwiches. It has sizing slots that are easy to move around. It sturdy and the included knife is actually really good. Its very sharp. You can wipe the crumbs into the little divit on the end and eat them later. It’s also easy to clean and store with the magnet it has on the side, which is a big plus. Overall, it’s simple but really useful, especially if you bake your own bread or buy unsliced loaves from delis like i do. I make a lot of sourdough, banana bread and bagels. I can slice them all up at once and bag them instead of just when i want some.

Great for slicing consistently through sourdough
I was looking for a slicing guide for my sourdough breads because I can’t slice straight to save my soul. I looked at the slatted guides but videos I saw sounded like they were sawing through wood and when I read the reviews that’s exactly what was happening.With this you slice straight across, you have to keep your knife from canting down but that’s not hard to do at all. There are 4 marked sizes and I’m thinking even the bottom one, not marked, could be used for super thick slices.It’s super easy to change the sizes and I’m able to cut consistent slices. There are magnets on the side to hold the knife if you wish to store them together.I’ve sliced some large loaves with this and had no problem with having ample room to fit them.The knife is high quality and super sharp which is a must for cutting bread.Highly recommend.

Great artesian bread knife set
All I can say is WOW! My wife made up her mind that she wanted to start making artisan bread. So we picked up this simple knife and cutting board combo and it's everything we could have wanted. The knife itself is probably the best bread knife I've ever used. Good quality steel and a ergonomic handle. It's unusual but does exactly what it's supposed to. The cutting board is easily adjustable, sturdy and works great. A heck of a combo. As others have mentioned I do wish there was an easier way to hold the bread. That's my only issue with the set other than the fact that I'm getting fat from all the delicious bread.

No excuse for uneven bread now
As you know sourdough is in, well my wife has been making it for sometime and I thought what’s better than hand slicing bread a bread slicer. So I ventured out to look for an easily usable slicer and came across this one and I’m glad I did. It’s not to big and bulky but it seems to be very durable. It’s simple to use and best part it came with a very shard bread knife, thanks by the way. Basically set your thickness and slice away, very easy to use and glad I made the purchase now my sandwiches are even.

A new way to slice bread, and the only way.
I tried the standard vertical-slat style of bread slicer, but was frustrated at how I couldn't slice all the way through. There'd always be some hinge or ligament attached at the bottom, holding the slices together. I was aware that cutting all the way down was also dulling my bread knife due to the rubbing on the plastic at the bottom.This device, on the other hand, is amazing. The technique feels awkward the first couple of times, but I quickly got used to it, and I love it. It's a breeze to cut right through the bread, and at no point does the knife blade come into any contact with anything that does not have flour in it. It's really simple to change the thickness and it's quite ingenious. Because of its simplicity, it also takes up less counter-space.The knife is great too, and as an added bonus, the cutting board has a built-in magnet so you can safely store the knife with it.
