I bought this shelf liner for wire racks as the product is intended.It is thick enough to never wrinkle but thin enough that you can cut it with a razor blade type cutting knife.It wants to hold it's shape so it will curl when you first unroll it. I cut the pieces I needed and let it sit on the floor for a few days and most of the curl went away but some remains.It does not have any adhesive. Pretty sure that is stated on the web page but this rating page asks about adhesion. It is thick enough that things that used to try to slip through the wires of the racks don't anymore. The wire shelves that I have have wires spaced about 1" apart. This material works as intended on these shelves providing adequate support to typical pantry items.Relatively easy to work with because it can be cut with simple tools. I used a square and a razor type box knife to get good clean, accurate cuts and I was happy with the result and the material.The material has an embossed pattern on one side and smooth on the other. The embossing doesn't really provide any benefit but it doesn't seem to hurt anything either. I left that side up.

Vinyl pads for shelving
These vinyl pads are great for covering the wire shelves in closets. They are cuttable, sturdy and do not sink, curl or pop up. I would have given them a 5 star rating, but there is a lingering smell. It’s not a rancid smell, it’s just an odd lingering odor. I’m hoping in time that will dissipate.

Pantry Liner
I purchased this shelf liner in the hope that it would prevent small items from falling through our wire shelves. First, the liner came rolled. It was a challenge to roll out and expect it to lie flat eventually. Once we were able to put enough pantry stock on the shelf, the liner would stay (somewhat) flat.Over the course of a few days, my sensitive daughter could detect a mildly offensive odor. We decided that having this in a pantry that contained food would not be desirable.We returned the liner for a refund.
