May require some glue

So, mine came with the sides knocked off but a little glue later and it looks fine. If you buy this be prepared with super glue. I recommend that the manufacturer switch to wood glue for a stronger hold if they’re using epoxy instead. Epoxy isn’t the best glue for wood on wood.Now, my biggest issue with these is the rough texture they came with. However, after using some cutting board wax on these, they feel fantastic. I recommend that the creator add some wax finish to these at this price point. It will smooth out the roughness of the epoxy and wood surface.

Pretty, but not meant to be absorbent

These are beautiful coasters. I have a variety of resin products that are "beachy" in appearance. While I would say these aren't quite as fancy or beautiful as those items, these are much more reasonably priced, so I think the look is is line with the pricing.The wood seems to be of nice quality (as far as I can tell) and the coasters have that gorgeous blue resin stripe running through them. If you love the ocean as I do, I think these will bring you joy.The coasters come as a set of four with a holder. The holder has the resin sections on the sides, but not the bottom (which doesn't matter since you'll never see the bottom anyway).The coasters all have a protective coating on them so that the wood isn't damaged by moisture. I think this is ideal because otherwise these would quickly become stained and would eventually need to be tossed. Thanks to the protective coating, they will stay nice and last longer.However, to me the coating takes away from the natural look of the wood just a bit. You can still see they are made of wood of course, but I would've loved if the coating was more matte, as opposed to having a sheen. It's also important to note that because of that coating, these coasters will NOT be absorbent. So any sweat that comes off your glasses will pool on the coasters (and if there's a lot of moisture, will likely eventually run off the coasters).So it really comes down to whether you are looking for style or function. Or if you know that you'll only use these for short increments of time or special occasions, then that non-absorbency may not be a concern at all to you. It was just something I hadn't really considered until I had the coasters in my hands, so I thought it worth mentioning.As far as the quality and presentation of the product though, they are quite nice and would make a lovely gift as well.

Broken on delivery

Absolutely gorgeous, but the holder was broken prior to delivery. Looks like the piece is glued on but popped off as soon as I opened the box (product box was appropriately packaged in an undamaged larger box). So disappointed. Waited a month for this item
