These things are fantastic! We use paper plates during family cookouts to cut down on dishes, but depending on the food, paper plates just aren’t strong enough. More than once we’ve lost a full plate of food because the plate bent or collapsed. With these dishes, that problem is gone.They’re made from thick, hard plastic that feels sturdy in your hands. They’re nice and deep, so they hold plenty of food without spilling, and they can be washed by hand or thrown in the dishwasher without getting soft or warped. The cutouts on the bottom keep liquids from pooling, which is a great touch.We actually use these more than regular plates now. I even ordered the wax paper sheets like restaurants use so we can just line these dishes and avoid buying paper plates altogether.Overall, these are well worth it whether you’re hosting family meals, cookouts, or even if you run a restaurant. These are a little heavier than other serving baskets I have used, but also sturdier and hold up better to washing and abuse. With the base they are a bit tall and all together they stack up pretty high, so storage space could be better. They are a little bulky. Still, these are nice for summer picnic style meals, burgers and fries, etc.
I got these as an experiment on how easily they would be to use and cut down on cleaning up. It turns out, they work exactly as I intended them to. Having kids means they’ll be eating a lot and going through so many dishes or disposable plates it’s insane.I instructed the kids to grab a sheet of the deli style paper, place it on the bowl and prepare their snacks on it. We’ve even used it to serve less messy meals and it turned out great. The kids throw away their paper and food trash then wipe down the bowls and place them in the drying rack. It’s that simple.These are extremely durable and are truly restaurant quality as they are thick and feel like the ones you’d eat out of at a famous chain.We decided to have 5 of them out and store the other 5. For the price I think it’s worth it. It’ll cut down on so much waste and the price of disposable plates or the amount of dishwashing liquid and water waste is reduced greatly. Plus I’m not coming home to a mountain of dishes because they want to grab one giant plate for one small snack and it teaches them to clean up after themselves in a way that makes it easy for their ages.
These rays are nice! They look and feel good quality and well made! I like these much better than the baskets we've been using. I really like the size and shape of these trays. Just put a liner on and we're good to go! The trays are easy to clean as well. I am very happy with these trays!
With two teenagers in the house, we use a LOT of paper plates, and I've been looking for a way to reduce that cost, and these are fantastic! The base price of these is an up front cost, yes - after that though, I'm paying a around three cents per liner compared to four or five per plate (which always means eight to ten cents since no one here ever uses a single paper plate)!Nice and sturdy, I got the ones with the base that keeps it up just a bit off of the table. The drain holes keep food from getting soggy if sauce or something pools up, dishwasher and microwave safe, though the whole point of these is that you can wash them when they NEED it, rather than with every use (in a home environment - food service, please follow local laws).If I had it to do over, I'd get the 9" without the base instead of the 10.5" with the base. They really are bigger than you think, and the ones without the base will take up half the space when stacked as the ones with the base.
I love these much more than baskets.A good plate sized...plate. Very easy to clean, and very easy to arrange food on. Much more versatility than a basket. It also handles the paper liners better.Storage is easy inasmuch as they stack just as expected.They are large enough to hold a decent sized portion. Again, versatility is the thing here...sandwiches, etc.I love these. They are fantastic.
