You might not have enough space to get super creative if you're decorating cookies or cupcakes. You would be better served with smaller tips and bags for those. Overall, this set is a workable combination, and the price is comparable to other similar items available.

A baking staple you’ll be glad you have in your kitchen
I got this set after the holidays when I tried making lady fingers from scratch after my grocery store stopped stocking the kind I needed for a family recipe I make every year. The recipe clearly stated I would need a piping bag, which I did not own at the time and in my hubris, I was like, “I bake a fair amount and I’ve always been able to get by fine with a makeshift gallon-sized-ziplock ‘piping bag’ so I’ll be fine here too.”Spoiler alert: I was not fine. Taste-wise, they were right, but aesthetically-speaking, my lady fingers were an unmitigated disaster. I needed a proper piping bag with proper tips.Enter this kit. It was too late to save my Christmas dessert, but I’m so excited to have this on-hand going forward because it’s really a kitchen staple for bakers that I should have already owned. This kit is great—I love that it comes with hard plastic case to store all the pieces (keeps them organized and it’s a nice compact size that makes the whole set easy to store in my small kitchen, where storage space is at a premium).I love that the set is reusable so I’ll always have piping bags on hand if I need them in the future. It doesn’t come with instructions so if you’re a total beginner you’ll want to check out some YouTube tutorials on using basic piping bags in the context you’re using them for (icing is common but some recipes, like my lady fingers, call for them in non-decorative contexts).I haven’t had need to use the set yet, but it’s clearly a goo enough quality set to get the job done when the time comes (bags are definitely reusable — thick enough to wash/reuse, good seam quality, etc) and the tips it comes with aren’t fancy but they’re good for just about any basic piping job you need).Overall, this set was a good value for the cost and comes with enough pieces/variety to make me feel confident I won’t be ill-prepared like I was at Christmas again in the future without being over the top for my needs, since I don’t have any plans to start doing elaborate icing/decorating, etc.

Great at home baker set!
This piping bag set is a great starter kit for home cake decorating, especially if you want to try making buttercream flowers. The piping bags themselves are very nice quality - thick, sturdy, and they feel like they’re going to last. They do have seams, but the seams are hidden well and didn’t interfere with piping at all.The tips are a really nice assortment too, with a good mix of basics and decorative options like a few flower tips, a petal tip, and a lattice tip. The couplings were a nice added feature, but just a heads up that the tips are not interchangeable with Wilton’s larger couplings, so these are basically their own system for this manufacturer.If you want to pipe more than two colors at a time, you’ll definitely need extra bags. I also tested one of the tips in a piping bag I already owned without using a coupling, and it didn’t leak.Overall, the price feels well worth it for the quality. The bags are thick so they’re a little stiff right now, but I’m hoping they soften up with use.*The images included are of homemade whipped cream cheese frosting flowers I made using the piping set being reviewed.

works perfectly and super useful little case
I am not a baker by any mean but i do make cares and things that requires me to need piping bags. Before this kit, i would just use Ziplock bags for the easy clean up factor but this is great. Its bar far the best starter kit i could ask for. Love the variety of tips and the little case it all comes in. it all feels like decent quality so i would definitely say its a good value. It was a little confusing on getting the tips and the bag connected but i figured it out.

Very large tips, extra large couplers
This piping bag set seems to be designed for large cake decoration or meringues. The bags are a heavy plastic, and there are two sets of very large couplers. The bags are not cut to these couplers, so not sure if they are intended to be trimmed, or if they are cut to fit the tip alone. The tips are definitely large-industrial size, meant for large size piping, which would seem to require a much larger bag. The tips are metal, probably aluminum, but the basic shapes are there. The set comes with a little case and two bags, as well as rubber band stoppers for the bag ends. I do a lot of piping work and will definitely use these tips, but if you are a beginner, get the standard size tips and couplers - this set is for big projects.
