Perfect for Home Cooks, Worth the Buy
I’ve been using this knife sharpener for a few days now and honestly it works better than I expected. The design is sturdy and it feels well-made when you place the knife on it. Sharpening is quick and simple, just a few strokes and the blade gets a really nice edge. I tried it on my old kitchen knife that had gone completely dull, and it came out cutting smooth again. The angle guide makes it easy even if you’re not experienced with sharpening. I also like that it looks neat enough to keep on the counter without feeling out of place. Overall, it saves time and effort compared to traditional sharpening methods. Definitely worth the purchase if you cook regularly.

Smooth and functional
Sharpened kitchen knives well. I have a few systems that I use. Nothing expensive or fancy. I dabble in sharpening blades just for fun of it and to ensure my kitchen knives are sharp enough so I don’t run the risk of injury. Either way, very simple to use. Function very smoothly. Magnets in wedge, strong enough to hold firmly in place. Pocket knives (flip open) were shapened fine. However, due to blade design (angular sides of blade) it makes holding blade difficult. By design of block, flat sided knives sharpen most efficiently and effectively. Happy with quality and price.

Magnet needs to be stronger
Nominally works. Limited as to what knives you can sharpen...knives like paring, steak...too narrow. Cleavers, Asian choppers...too wide. Had to contrive a 2x6 section to raise the rolling honer to do my Chinese vegetable chopper. That said, did sharpen it to an edge it hasn't had in years

Really impressed with this sharpener
Really impressed with this sharpener. The build quality stands out right away—solid beech wood, diamond grit, stainless steel—it feels premium and well-crafted. It’s simple to use with two preset angles (15° and 20°), and the magnets hold the knife steady so there’s no slipping or second-guessing. I’ve used it on a few kitchen and pocket knives and got consistently sharp results. The two-stage system actually works—revives dull blades and gives a clean finish. It’s not meant for ceramic or serrated knives, but for everything else it’s perfect. No assembly, easy to store, and sharpens way better than the cheap ones I’ve used before. Honestly, it’s worth it.

Works well for what it's for
Works great for the kitchen type knives but not so much on the pocket folder types. Overall a good worth while product for the money.

OK, but there is a significant design flaw
Pros1. The five available angles for your knives. I have a mix of knives from Japan, Switzerland, and...assorted places. The Japanese knives require a shallow angle (12-15 degrees). The other knives are fine with a larger angle, so the options are nice.2. The appearance is stunning. The wood grain and compact cylinder with a five-sided base complements any kitchen.3. Performance is acceptable. I've used other sharpeners that produced better edges more quickly, so this one is so-so.4. The extra two sharpening wheels (the silver "end caps" of the cylinder) will come in handy when the initial ones wear out.5. A leather strop is included, although its usefulness is dubious at best.6. The two different grits for the metal sharpening wheels - coarse and fine.Cons1. See the photo. The daily knives (paring, two 5 inch utility, and eight inch butcher) have mixed success with being sharpened. The paring knife, which you see in the photo, is not tall (or broad) enough to rise up above the wood base to be sharpened as it is held in place by the magnet attached to the side of the base. The cylinder simply rubs the top edge of the wood base and doesn't touch the paring knife. The last inch and a half of the utility knives have the same problem since the knives taper down to their points. I gave up trying to sharpen the paring knife. As for the utility knives, I need to hook a finger or thumb under the tip when trying to sharpen them in order to lift the tip upward so the wood base doesn't block that part of the knives from being sharpened. It's an uncomfortable and awkward position to hold your hand for the somewhat long time it takes to sharpen the knives. You can totally forget about sharpening a filet knife. Bottom line: this sharpener is only good for broad, large(r) knives.2. The cost. Obviously, there are other sharpeners that are much more expensive; but still, the prices for rolling sharpeners like this are pretty steep. So the jury is out with this product. Look around some more before spending the money on this sharpener.

Rolling knife sharpener
I was doubtful before buying this rolling knife sharpener, but it works really well. The quality of the material is very good, and it sharpens knives nicely. It is also very easy to use and carry. This sharpener is a perfect choice for a gift too. I really loved it. It saves me time in the kitchen and keeps my knives sharp like new. I’m very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it.
