Good Whistle - Feels Sturdy

This boiled on medium high. The whistle is loud. I am only giving it 4 stars because the handle gets very hot. To hot to not use a hot pad. It is nice and sturdy. The glass lid is nice to see if the water is close to boiling. I did find a teapot Handle Sleeve that had good reviews so I am going to try that on the handle. Its got a nice blue patterned fabric that look like it will match.

Disappointed

We’ve only had this tea kettle about a week, but so far we are very happy with it. I picked it mainly because of the style and the fact that they had red. However, I was hoping that the red would be a deeper darker red than it is. Everything else is fine. I like how you can push the button down for the spout cover and you have a choice of either having it stay open or closing it again. I also really like the fact that the spout cover is metal and not plastic. That was one of the main things that sold me on this. The whistle is a little loud but not bad. I would recommend this tea kettle.Update: I am sorry to say that I have had to change my review of this product. At 2-3 weeks of use, it already had a chip in the red coating with only boiling water for coffee or tea. Now, after only about two months of use, the red color is burning off at the bottom of the kettle. I’ve tried to get in touch with customer service but have never heard back. I would definitely NOT recommend this tea kettle. This is so very disappointing as I liked it in the beginning.
