No more preshredded cheese with additives

I really like this rotary cheese shredder. It holds sturdy to the countertop with the suction cup (took me a minute to get the suction cup just right but once I did, it was STUCK)... and then we were off to the races! You can use one of the three different grater wheels that's included depending on what type of shreds you want from standard to fine to ribbons.You just push the cheese into the top of the grater using the plastic block to protect your hand and crank the wheel... out pops perfect shreds. Easy, peasy... doesn't take a lot of effort or energy. The crank turns fine and I don't have a ton of arm strength but I don't have issues with it. Dishwasher safe is a big bonus, makes cleanup easy. Doesn't take up a lot of space in the cabinet and saves me from having to buy preshredded cheese which is lesser quality (and has additives!) and costs more than a block. Win win!

Works Great. Quality Not What I'd Hoped.

This means I review items that I actually want/need.Item: JIUMEXES Rotary Cheese Grater Hand Crank,Cheese Shredder, for Cheese Vegetables Nuts, with Suction Base,3 in 1, Food Grade Kitchen ToolThis cheese grater comes with 3 stainless steel wheels to cut slices, thick shreds, and fine shreds. The base suctions to the counter to keep it stable while you use it and the knob unlocks the suction. It’s a bit difficult to figure out at first. The handle will only lock in place when a wheel is in the shredder and it will only lock if you put the tiny white plastic piece in the tiny hole on the shredder. Not the most intuitive setup. The pusher will only go in one way, making it easy to figure out. While the wheels are stainless steel, the chute and handle are plastic, making this worse quality than I had hoped. If it were 100% stainless steel, it would be much better quality. Also, I question the quality of the stainless steel. It is very thin and feels somewhat lighter than expected, almost like plastic. As it is, you’re not completely avoiding microplastics because your cheese and vegetables come into contact with the plastic chute when loading the food. It does work really well, as you can see in the video. Makes quick work of shredding a block of cheese. Currently overpriced for the quality at $19.99, but if you’re ok with some plastic, then the price is good value compared to similar items.

Practical and Easy to Clean

The manual hand-crank cheese grater features a hand-crank design that is easy to use. The three different drum attachments are very practical and work well for grating cheese and vegetables, producing fairly even results. However, the suction base is not very stable during use and doesn’t always hold firmly to the countertop.The overall build quality looks good, and the parts are easy to disassemble and clean. The unit is compact and doesn’t take up much space, making it convenient to keep in the kitchen. The price is reasonable, and overall it’s a handy tool for everyday kitchen use.

Pusher only fits one way

#1 if the plastic on the front of the drum doesn’t line up the plastic piece in the clear housing, push on the drum and the outside of the handle until you hear the handle lock. After I figured that out it’s been smooth sailing using this.#2 the top pusher will only go in one way. You DO NOT having to worry about possibly grinding up the plastic pusher like other models.#3 the handle is tight when first using and does loosen and become easier to turn with continued use.Overall happy with this shredder slicer. Cleans up easy with just using hot water. Everything comes apart for easy cleaning. The suction cup stick to my textured tempered glass work top. Good value compared to other models Ive tried.
