It did the job. Got my professionally baked 10inch themed cake from Texas to Arizona in one piece. I was able to make it through TSA and brought it on the plane as a personal item no problem.It has very nice insulation. My cake did not melt. I had it in the refrigerator the night before. Love the compartment on top because I was able to put my purse and other items in there because of course you can only carry one personal item and one carry-on, so I used this as my personal item.The plastic cake carrier itself was very sturdy and locked into place. It was not flimsy so I didn’t have a fear of lifting it up and my cake falling out.Although this was a very sturdy container and carrier, $70 seems like a lot. But it is good quality and something I plan on having for quite some time so maybe it’s reasonable. This is my first time buying something like this so for all of you Cake decorators and makers maybe $70 is reasonable for a good product. Good product.

Fabulous Carrier

This is a fabulous cake / dessert carrier. In reading the reviews before I bought it I was a bit concerned because a couple people mentioned difficulty with snapping the closures down; however, what I found is you need to line up the tiny hole on the carrier too with the “tit” and it closes easily. It snaps closed very well & holds well. The size accommodates many of my dishes that will not fit in other carriers. The slide resistant grip pads are a true bonus as they keep the dish from sliding in the carrier. Cleans up great. Well worth the cost.

This is a very well made carrier that works for both round cakes and cupcakes. The gray fabric is sturdy and looks very nice. The lid closed very securely and the extra storage on top easily allows for a cake server and knife. This carrier is a good value too.
