I thought it would make a nice light-colored accent and still go with the overall antique vibe of the space. When it arrived, I was not disappointed, and in fact, am impressed with the quality. It's beautifully constructed, so the edges look refined and there are no broken or sharp bits. I wondered if the bottom would bow if carried while holding something with substance, but it's very solid and sturdy. The bottom is as stiff as the sides. And the color is just gorgeous. It would look perfect in pretty much any aesthetic: seaside, rustic farmhouse, modern, etc. The whitewash has that slightly timeworn patina to it. Well worth the totally affordable price, in my opinion. The 11"" tray is big enough for my desk; the 13"" would be excellent in my kitchen and I want to order one.

Attractive & Sturdy!
Although this tray will have a decorative use in my home (pictured), I tested it for both strength and functionality. By its very nature a rattan tray does not have a smooth serving surface. Consequently, my main concern was how it would perform serving drinks using glassware of various styles. To test this, I filled several glasses with water. One had a flat base; the others were concave and star crown patterns. I was pleasantly surprised that no glasses shifted and everything remained stable. Lastly - I didn’t see any mention, under description or product details, on maximum weight capacity so I tested that as well. I loaded it with eight pounds of canned soup & vegetables and carried it around the house for a while. There were no signs of weakness. All surfaces of the tray are smooth and I had to look hard to find any defect. There is a minor cosmetic flaw in the support or framing around the handle on one side of the tray where the rough edge is visible and not hidden by the top of the handle. Most people wouldn’t notice it and you can blame my several years working in QC. This tiny imperfection was not enough to reduce my 5-star rating.

excellent quality for a sturdy tray
This round round Rattan tray is absolutely wonderful and pairs well with any home decor! The quality is superb. It is beautifully woven without any strands sticking out. The tray itself is sturdy and the walls do not collapse. It is even sturdy enough to carry around some weight on it and it has handles which makes it great to move around.It's about 12 in wide and can hold a large amount of things.I also like that it came in a beautiful cardboard box with leaves printed on it, which makes it super giftable without the need for gift wrap.The natural color is of a light brown with darker parts which gives it an eye-catching pattern that I very much enjoy!Overall, this is a great value for the money and I would be happy to get it again.

Excellent craftsmanship for the price
When working with rattan, it's the craftsmanship that really matters: the cheaper the manufacturing, the more bits stick out, the less level the basket, and the more generally unruly it is to work with an item. Given the low price, I was concerned that the craftsmanship might not be up to snuff. I was pleasantly surprised: not only was the weaving without visible flaws, but the spiral pattern is truly eye-catching. I can't recommend this enough if you have a use for it. And if you don't, it makes a nice gift. (I don't have a picture of the box, but while it's not gift-box quality, you could wrap it up in paper for a Christmas/birthday gift.)
