Excellent Quality Frosted Table Cover

This table cover fits my table perfectly. It looks great and cleans easily.The thick material helps it lay flat on the table, and it doesn't slide around. The attached pictures were taken after the table cover had been unrolled on the table for only one day. Now that several more days have passed, it is lying even flatter.I got the one that is frosted on one side. The frosting cuts down on reflected glare if you have bright lights or bright sunlight shining on your table.I got this to replace a glass top we previously had on the table before the glass cracked. I like this cover even better than the glass one.It is hard to figure out how well you will like a table cover like this just from product pictures. However, this cover exceeded my expectations. Also, I believe this table cover will last a long time and do a good job of protecting my wood dining table.If you are looking for an item like this, I would highly recommend considering purchasing this one.

Very sturdy and looks good

I bought this to cover an antique table that I'll be using for a kitchen table with kids. I specifically wanted a clear table protector because the veneer is a gorgeous burled wood that I don't want to hide under a cover. Even though I converted the millimeters to inches, it's been years since I worked with 16ths of an inch, so I didn't visualize how thick 2mm would be, but I was relieved to see it's basically what's in the picture.Because it is so thick, it is very durable and was difficult to cut to the oval shape I needed; make sure you get some really sturdy shears designed for leather or thick fabric. Once cut, it has laid properly on the table, it's heavy and holds itself flat without creases or wrinkles. It has a smooth texture on both sides, so either one can be top or bottom. However, my one frustration is the smooth texture is also a bit sticky with some things, like dishes, so that could cause a spill accident if someone is trying to push say a plate against its edge to slide it around and then it finally jerks to move. You need to slightly lift the dish to move it.So far, I've placed plates hot out of the microwave directly on it and hot mugs of coffee. The vinyl has fogged up a tad around the hot dish, but it hasn't gone through to the wood. I haven't placed any hot pans straight off a medium hot stove burner or out of a 350* oven directly on the vinyl to speak to that level of heat resistance, but I'll probably use one of my many cute trivets for hot pans to be on the safe side.I paid $55 when I bought the 2mm 40x60 sheet a couple of months ago, and my dad said that price was a good deal when he saw the durability. It is tightly rolled and it does take a while for it to relax flat. I had a floor space I could use to lay it out and put some heavy items on the corners to help. It probably goes a little faster if the space is warm, but the room I had was on the rather cool side, so it took a few days to get the final curl out of the edges.
