I just fell in love ...with a mixing bowl!
An excellent , VERY DEEP , THICK and STURDY pan for mixing or other purposes. I was concened that it would be a cheap, easily dented or easily scratched piece, but it turned out to be well worth the extra cost. It came well oackaged, with a nice flat bottom for stability, and a sunstantial depth that prevents most splashing & spilling-- with a rounded rim that eases lifting of the pan when it’s full. Someone put some work and thought into designing what I consider to be an excellent mixing pan (althought the word pan --or bowl-- is a bit midleasding, since the sides are steep and deep , shaped like a half-U rather than C-on-its-side shape that’s flater and wider. . It’s large, but does nor feel huge, because the more compact half U shaped steep sides means that it’s higher, deeper and less wide, and therefore takes up less counter or cabiner space than most bowls of this large capacity. I am certainly no expert as to whether it is truly stainless steel ( a paper tag indicates it is), but it IS heavy-weight and substantial, unlike what aluminum would be, and it looks to be scratch resisitant both insie and out.The bottom is etched with the words 12 Qt, Endurance, 18/8, whatever that means. You will not be disappointed with this mixing bowl in terms of it being a quality, and well-made product. I love it!.

FABULOUS!
Every time I use this sturdy, handsome stainless steel bowl, I think, "Endurance, how did I live without you?" Its generous size and flat bottom makes ease of washing sandy greens like kale and chard and bulky vegetables like zuchinni. It's perfect for soaking scrubbers and dish rags; makes a great dishpan when I need one. It's so helpful, in so many ways, I just love having it in my kitchen every day.

Best mixing bowls on the market so far!
I have owned the Endurance brand 12 qt mixing bowl for probably 5 years now--it was an amazing gift from a thoughtful brother-in-law. That bowl has been my dough bowl, batter bowl, and turkey bowl: you know when you haven't thawed the turkey out fully in enough time and need to run cold water over it, but none of the other bowls are quite big enough? It is! Anyway, it has taken a beating--as big drum for my then toddler's kitchen side band (among other things) and it is strong enough to keep giving me perfect performance. So when I came across other sizes, I ordered them. I now own the 8qt, 6qt, and 4qt--and am awaiting the arrival of the 2qt. The 4qt is perfect for using as a double boiler. The 6qt is the right size for whipping up a cake. Finally the 8qt--is tall enough to get perfectly stiff egg whites. All of the bowls have a brushed stainless inside--which lets you see if there is any residue at all when you are cleaning them. They nest wonderfully--so you can put ice in the 8qt and whip things in the 6 or 4qt. They are heavy duty--and I am recommending them to everyone I meet, and ordering some as gifts for people I know LOVE to cook as I do. Wonderful bowls.

Glad I purchased.
I'm in love with this bowl!. It's large but not too large and it's deep. I've used it for peeling potatoes and mashing them in. I've used it for cake batter. Making bread and cookie dough. Carrying multiple items from the fridge and cupboards to my counters so I don't have to make multiple trips. It's weight is not suppressing and it cleans easily. The inside is spun stainless steel and the outside is shiny and this makes it an attractive bowl to use. I would buy it again but I doubt I will have to as the quality will be long wearing. I would give it as a gift for sure.

Big bowl for big jobs
I was given a very old Red Velvet Cake recipe that has proved to be a winner. My problem was in trying to make it--the batter ended up all over the counter and myself. I decided it was time to get a bowl that is larger than any I had, and thought this one looked good. After receiving it, I am pleased! I was afraid that once full of batter, it might prove to be too heavy for me, but the bowl seems to be of good quality while still being relatively light weight. I will be giving it the big trial tomorrow! 4 stars? Yes, I would prefer this said "Made in the USA" on the bottom instead of the too frequent China.

Just buy it
It's well made and reminiscent of a bowl you would receive with a stand mixer. The walls are very sturdy and stable with a nice polished finish in the outside and a typical brushed finish inside. The bowl sits firmly flat with enough curve at the bottom to allow for beaters if necessary. This will be probably used for making dough by hand.
