Wooden Cake Stand
I liked the wooden slice cake stand that I ordered to use at a wedding reception. The overall look will be perfect for the rustic wedding we are planning. It has a unique wood grain pattern and a nice color. I also like that after the wedding I can use it as a plant stand.My problem with it is that it only has three wooden legs for such a large slice. We either have to be careful not to apply too much pressure to any specific part of the cake stand so it will not tilt over, or we will need to put some other wood blocks under the cake stand to add more stability.My other complaint is with the description, where it notes:Material Metal (should be wood and metal)Shape Rectangular (should be circular)Special Feature Led Grow Lights (does not have any lights)

Not Well Made
I purchased this item for a cupcake display. It worked great for what I needed it for, however, when I went to try and take the legs back off, not only did the legs come out but so did the part where you screw the legs into. I bought 2 of them and both of them did the same thing. So, it's definitely a quality thing and not that I received a single defective product.

Rustic Cake Stand
Rustic is the appropriate word for this stand and it will certainly add a beautiful, natural adornment to any cake.It is a decently thick wood slice (3/4 inch thick) with a large diameter surface area (13x11). The bark around the edge is all intact and adds to the rustic appearance. The surface is a bit rougher than some as it feels like any coating on it is thin, but it is sanded well.The legs are leveled well with no wobble on a flat surface. They are 1inch diameter thick and stand 1 -1/4 inch high. They come with large screws in each, and you just screw them into the pilot holes already prepped with threaded inserts to avoid cracking the wood. Nice.A couple small issues - one leg came with a large gouge out of it. Not too big of an issue as I’ll just turn that area inward. Also, with three legs instead of four, I find the stand tips over if you put individual items on one side. So if I wanted to display cupcakes, and guests take from one side, it tips. Four legs would solve this problem.Overall, a pretty stand with a definite rustic beauty to it - just be careful if using to serve individual desserts or appetizers - maybe best to put them on a plate that can sit centered.Update: I decided I wanted to use this stand as a centerpiece item for an event and needed four more. All four came in good condition (no bark issues) and look rustic yet beautiful. I especially like that the feet come off for easy flat storage in the box it came in. The pilot holes make it so that the wood is not stressed from constant screws going in and out. Really thankful to have received the first one that introduced me to this wooden stand. The centerpieces should be beautiful!
