Too risky to manually chop, slice or dice food items.

After a stroke, I lost the ability manipulate foods that I want to slice or chop. It became dangerous for me as I had cut my finger trying to slice an onion. This product works great for me. Exactly what I wanted. It's fast and easy to use. The suction cups on the feet makes it pretty sturdy and tray is bigger than I thought for catching the chopped veggies!

Just...don't. Plastic crap that breaks first time around. Chute to small for regular sized veggies.

The clip that holds the chute on is very flimsy, and broke during the first use. Also, the chute itself is small, and you cannot fit regular sized russet potatoes or yellow onions in it without first quartering them, so there's no way you can get nice, complete circles for fancy recipes. I bought this to make potato roses for my wedding, and I'm glad I tried it early enough to find out that I can't use it!! Very disappointing to have to put so much crap in the landfill. But I think they must be used to it, because when I went to return it, Amazon refunded my money with no requirement that I send the product back. I wish I had known. I hate making more waste in landfill. But there's no way to fix this thing.

Useful But Not Always Practical for Small Batch Cooking

I haven not mastered how to use this mandoline slicer yet. I like the possibilities but it does take some extra work, including the clean up. But once I get it going with the basic settings I've learned, things do chop and slice pretty quickly. I like that it has better safety features from other mandolines I've bought in the past. Since I have adept but not professional knife skills, I am keeping this for big cooking ventures where the clean up is worth the effort and time saved. Also, on days when I have arthritis flares or other dexterity issues, this feels safer to use. I especially prefer it for harder foods like carrots. It is pretty easy to use and sturdy. The quality seems to be fair for the price point, better priced than more dangerous versions I've attemped in years past, too.
