Great quality bowl and chopper!

Both the bowl and the cutter were of very good quality. The bowl is made of quality stainless steel and the cutter was quite sharp and came with a protective cover. The bowl isn’t too heavy and the lid seals nicely, making it convenient for transportation for picnics/potlucks.The description implies that you can chop salad directly in the bowl, but that’s not exactly ideal for multiple reasons: first, the chopper doesn’t go all the way down into the bowl because the bottom isn’t wide enough. Second, the shiny stainless steel surface of the bowl doesn’t seem like it would handle repeated chopping without becoming severely scratched/damaged. Last but not least, the shape of the chopper isn’t as efficient or precise for chopping salad components, in comparison to a chef’s knife (but that may just be my own experience). Nonetheless, this type of chopper is wonderful for mincing fruits, vegetables, and herbs, where precision is less important. It can also be useful for roughly chopping nuts or chocolate bars.In summary, they are both very useful components when used separately, but I personally wouldn’t use them together.
