Good salad tongs
I really like my new salad tongs. Now I just need a wooden salad bowl to go with them. These tongs from my rainbow are really good wood and great quality. They shipped quickly and were packaged perfectly. They arrived with no damage which is a major plus.The wood is very thick and perfectly carved. It has a smooth bone pore finish and according to the details it is food safe! They are a decent size and fit in the palm perfectly making it comfortable to mix and serve salad with an ease.They are easy to clean with warm water and soap. The color has not faded yet which it helps that they are pretty much natural color. Over all I really like these and they come in handy. Well worth the value if you want that nice touch to the dinner table.

Practice makes perfect...and until then, be prepared to laugh about it.
Good, I wish the handles were slightly longer.A little smaller than what I had envisioned (see photo for palm comparison!). My hand is an averaged-sized hand, holding one of the salad tongs.The wood is of great quality. Very pretty, sturdy, and seems like it will last a long time. Using both, hand-in-hand while distributing lettuce is perfect. I do wish the handles were a bit longer. Longer handles would definitely be less awkward while serving. It's really hard to grab a good amount of salad without touching the food with the palms of my hands. I'm sure with continued use this will improve with practice, but the first Sunday dinner I used these caused a lot of laughs because they really are awkward to use at first. I'm used to long spoon/fork serving tools so having these so short definitely proved to be a hilarious challenge.I'm not mad at the size of these tools, as they gave our company a good laugh at dinner- I will definitely practice using these in the future if I ever have important guests joining us for a meal! Once I master their use, I will definitely be using them regularly as they store away so easily with their smaller size.

These are easy because you can hold them at a natural, convenient angle and you feel like you are actually scooping with your hands, instead of using a couple of clumsy, long sticks. The only time these would not work is if you had a salad in a super deep bowl. With a wide bowl, no problems! The hands are beautiful, and washed up fine. I wash them by hand as I do anything made of wood. I have several salad bowls, but none of them are wood – which is just as well, because when you purchase things separately they never match! I think these look awesome with a glass serving bowl, as well as my vintage fiberglass salad bowl. As beautiful as they are, I think they look amazing with anything. I used them to serve a pasta dish last night and they worked great with getting a good balance of ingredients in each serving. They also washed up easily afterwards. These are definitely worth buying, no matter what kind of bowl you’ll be using them with.

Nicely sized Acacia salad tongs, excellent
Got the MYRAINBOW 2-piece salad forks to go with my Acacia salad bowls and these are almost an exact match. I forks are perfectly sized for my hands. They made it easy to toss and mix my salad while in the bowl so everything is easily distributed. The wood is smooth all over with the exception of the ENDS of the forks. The ends of the tongs are rigid, rough and not rounded there, wish they were smooth. This doesn’t take away from their use or beauty, just be aware of that. I only noticed it when initially handwashing them, they snagged the dish cloth. They are still a 4-5 star item. I didn’t test their ability to be washed in the dishwasher since Acacia is best hand washed so the wood doesn’t swell or warp. They hand washed and dried perfectly. The price point of 9.99, at the time of purchase, for anything Acacia wood cannot be beat. They are super nice and a nice size.

Worked good and looked great until we washed them.
When I first got these I hand washed them before use. They worked great and are the perfect size. They also feel natural to use and the angles of the tongs are perfect for easy tossing. They also looked really nice and went well with our wood salad bowl. All of these things were great.When we washed them in the dishwasher though they came out grey and dull. No amount of scrubbing would get them to look like they did. The description states that they are easy to hand wash but nowhere does it say that they are not washing machine capable. We took them out within 5 minutes of finishing too, they didn't stay in the washing machine for a long time. The description states they can take up to 700 degrees and are washable, so I assumed they were dishwasher safe. In the photo attached you can see what they looked like after 1 washing.As long as you don't wash them in the dishwasher, they are great!

Wood salad tongs
I think these are called salad hands versus salad tongs given they have no long handle! Compared to the other versions on offer, I like these best. They have longer fingers/tines for gripping and then a great grip where the base of your thumb fits securely so you can easily grip these when using them.I cannot tell if these are legitimately acacia wood, but they are definitely wood, with a smooth finish and they have natural, attractive grain that looks great on the table. They are both light and sturdy, and they clean up easily with a quick hand wash. The compact size also makes them easy to store.The price is great too, this set is cheaper than the other versions I saw (and imho, nicer looking too).Overall, this set is a lovely upgrade from my long handled, standard salad tongs and they work just as well for me. I think they would also make a thoughtful and useful gift for any home cook.
