Heavy, practical and very functional!

I had been looking for a salt cellar for a long time. Many of them have a lid you have to remove in order to access the salt. I wanted a hinged lid to sweep out of them way for ease of use. Many other styles weigh very little, so when you go to grab the salt the whole thing slides around on the counter. Who wants to chase the salt cellar around the counter while cooking - or worse, have it spill causing a big mess? This version has neither of those issues. Its marble, so it’s quite heavy. It stays on the counter exactly where you put it. The lid is hinged so you just have to slide the cover to the left or right, take what you need, and slide it shut. You can operate the whole thing with just one hand. With two sections you can have different types of salt on each side. We keep kosher salt on one side and table salt or pink Himalayan salt on the other side. 5 stars!
