Great ice balls!
This is a clever device for making large ice balls. The device is pretty easy to use. I've made 50+ batches and the device works pretty consistently.A couple of notes:* The silicone top might not seal completely and leak water through a crack. It usually doesn't, but I've found that it's best to put the ice tray on a mini baking sheet in the freezer to catch any water that might leak out. When it does leak, I get one ice ball that might be only 3/4 complete.* It takes a full 24 hours to make a batch of ice. These ice balls are thick and take some time to freeze all the way through.* The ice can crack in water, which ruins some of the fun, but they often don't break apart, even if there is some cracking.* Removal can be a little tricky. I find it is best to let it sit for a couple minutes, break all the ice of the top out of the little funnels (if any), then use my thumb to push the ice out of the silicone while pulling back on the edge of the silicone. I do this on top of the tray so that when the ice falls, it lands in the plastic tray and doesn't roll away.
