Works but it is a pain
Does it work? Yes, it works for almost two years before part of the metal unscrewed and I just couldn’t get it to work properly after that.Three stars because I hated using it. It hurts my hand. I had to use an oven mitt or a metal part would come up. But it does in fact work. It pressed it together and cut it.The best bread to great value whole wheat. Or at least make sure the bread you are using is a little bit moist.

Nice, but it did break, not unusable
Its really nice, does the job well. Until it snapped lol the top plate broke off the center pin which pushes down the inside crimp piece. I use a rubber oven mitt to push it down now, and plan on getting someone to sauter the pieces back together. All in all, super nice for meal prep!
