I purchased this pot because I liked the price, the look of it and I got a new stove that I wanted to keep looking new. My pots are over 50 years old, still functionary well but copper bottoms look a bit nasty, I have a wok that I use frequently that has the same appearance and make up as this pot so I decided to give it a try. I don't need a full set of pots being an empty nester so 1 small pot and the wok will fit my needs. Firs thing that I noticed- a big discrepancy in the package insert and the Amazon description as the item is described as having a cool handle but insert says to always use a pot holder. I contacted the seller to ask for clarification and this was the quick answer back----We’re truly sorry for the mix-up, and thank you so much for flagging the conflicting info between the product description and the package insert. Here’s the real deal on the pot’s handle: when you’re cooking on low or medium heat for short sessions—like everyday stir-frying or simmering—the handle stays cool enough to grip directly. But if you heat it on high for a long time (think dry-heating an empty pot or leaving it over an open flame for more than 20 minutes straight), it will get warm. The note about using oven mitts in the insert is just a safety heads-up for those extreme heating scenarios.So I decided to try the pot before sending it back by boiling a couple of eggs. The pot handle did indeed stay cool enough to handle without a pot holder BUT the lid handle did not. One star down for that. The pot is a heavy weight which I like. Size is perfect for a single person's need. Cleans very easily and I anticipate that like my wok, it will maintain its good looks. I doubt that I will see 50+ years use as I have with my revere ware but that will not be the fault of the pots if you get my drift.

High Quality Hybrid Technology At A Fraction Of The Price

I was truly excited to add this pot to my kitchen tool collection, as Ihave the same brand hybrid cookware in my very much used and very appreciated 5quart sauté pan. Kurrungie delivers a high quality product with a more affordableprice tag compared to the astronomically higher priced hybrid cookware of other brands. Ilove hybrid technology cookware (it is THE best), and I used to have to save up for yearsto afford just one pot or pan - so it took me quite some time to accumulate a few itemsfrom the expensive brand. It is worth it, but - with this line, Kurrungie offers you the samequality (actually better) at a fraction of the price. So, what is better, you ask? I love, that allthe rivets for the handles of these pots are contained in the body of the pot without goingthrough the entire wall. There are no rivet nuts to contend with on the inside of the pot,which makes cleaning a breeze. You have to assemble the handle yourself, but theyprovide the hardware and wrench to do so (please see one of my pictures).It takes a minute,and - with proper tightening, that handle is solid.I ordered the 2.8 qt pot, and it is a perfect mid-sized sauce pan, large enough to cookspaghetti for 3 or 4 people (or soup or sauce), yet small enough for a reasonable storagefootprint. The non-stick coating is food safe and contained below the laser edgedstainless steel overlay that prevents it from being scratched up or from flaking. Heatconductivity is marvelous and the tempered glass lid has a steam vent. For this price, it’sa steal and makes this type of cookware available to folks who cannot afford theexpensive brands. I will be on the lookout for more of Kurrungie’s products. You can’t gowrong with this!

Versatile saucepan for your kitchen

Big fan of this well sized 2.8 qt saucepan, with a ton of functionality.Love the scratch resistant engraved surface, as I had not really had a chance to cook with a saucepan with the engraved surface until this. It's great, heats evenly, and is a snap to clean by hand or in the dishwasher.I love this sauce pan. It has a nice heft to it that distributes the weight evenly and just looks great.It has become my go-to saucepan.
