Blades Are Stainless, Body Is Not!

The description of this device is confusing. It claims this apple slicer is made of stainless steel. Well, I'm certain the blades are stainless steel, but the body isn't. The body is plastic. A very rigid plastic, but certainly not steel.Nor are the blades particularly sharp. I needed to pound on the slicer with my fist to get it to cut the skin of an ordinary apple.I bought this slicer to replace one of very similar construction whose plastic frame broke in ordinary use. Does this one use a better grade of plastic? Hard to say.I had my misgivings when I ordered it, but figured at the price if it didn't hold up I wouldn't be out very much money.I do wish the blades were sharper.
