This silicone scone pan works very well to make triangular scones. I have washed it repeatedly in the dishwasher and it's held up well. The only issue is that it discolored a little with use but that does not affect the functional work of the pan. If you want small/med professional looking scones, this works well. (And you could use it for brownies/blondes too!)
This pan came in very handy to make several dozen scones for coffee hour after church. We used a scone mix purchased on Amazon and sprinkled turbinado sugar on top before baking.No need to pregrease the pan...after baking, just let cool and they came out easily. Also, we put this pan directly on middle rack in the oven...no need to place on a cookie sheet.We did need to bake them 3 to 4 minutes longer than the package of scone mix recommendation.They were a hit...nicely shaped and delish!
I used this to make scones for a tea party.Definitely shortened preparation time and made it easier.
The scones come out very soggy when made in this had to continue baking after removing from this product
This mold has great depth to it for nice and thick scones. This is perfect for making great looking scones.It is easy to push them out when they are done.It is easy to clean.
I have been making scones for years, but never used an actual scone pan before. This is a game changer! I've used other types of silicone baking dishes in the past and they have all been a disappointment because of how flimsy they are. This one is not like that at all! Because of the triangle design, it provides ample support to the pan and it doesn't flop around at all. It was incredibly easy to press the scone dough into each mold and they came out looking professionally made! I am so impressed! The size of the molds is perfect for tea, or a snack. I didn't spray the mold and they released perfectly with no issues.My only issue with this mold is that the centers took a while to bake because there is absolutely no airflow. Simple fix was to just cook them longer. You may need to tent the top with tinfoil to keep them from burning in order to get the centers completely cooked. I had to add almost 5 minutes to my bake time.I didn't want to hand wash this pan so I put it on the top rack of my dishwasher and it held up well to the heat. If you like to bake and want a good scone pan for home, buy this.
This was really easy to use. I used a 16 oz premade mix that filled (over filled) 10 segments. I should have split it up into all 12 segments because I baked it for the required time but they were so thick they were still a little doughy. So don't fill the segments completely full. Only fill them about half way.The mold is sturdy and you can feel that there must be a metal base inside of it to add support. It's super easy to clean.I sprayed the molds with olive oil spray but I don't think that was necessary. You can see how easy it is to remove them from the mold.You don't have to use this for just scones. I was thinking you could make yummy pizza pockets or maybe a PB&J pocket. I will definitely continue to utilize this!
