Perfect lid for pan-fired foods if you want to keep your stove clean while cooking!
I cook for my family a lot and was looking for a lid to use when pan-frying fish or steak. Every time I cook those, oil splatters everywhere! I didn’t want to use a regular lid because it traps steam and makes the food soggy. Then I found this universal lid — and OMG, it’s perfect!I almost never leave reviews, but I had to for this one. It has holes in the middle that let steam out while keeping the oil from splattering. My stove stayed clean, and the food turned out great. The lid is 100% stainless steel and has a nice weight, so it sits securely on the pan.I tried it last night with pan-fried fish, and it came out delicious — not dry at all and no mess around the stove. I have used this lid so far with everything from non-stick skillets and giant pots, to cast iron. It helps regulate temperatures while keeping splatter to a minimum. Depending on what you're cooking, it even stays clean enough to use it more than once before you wash it. The price at $90 is too high, and I see it down to $71 currently. I still think that's a bit too much, but you do often get what you pay for. It is a well made, quality items with a good heft to it. It looks nice in use or standing and works on every size pot I've tried it on. It is big, but still fits in the dishwasher. If you can get it on sale it is a no-brainer purchase.

Excellent Spatter Screen
This is the best spatter screen I’ve had in years. The others would leave condensation and make the oil spatter even more. Not this one. You lift it and nothing spatters. Love it. A little expensive but so worth it! My son was having the same problem and I bought him one.
