Good size and depth to these platters
At first glance these really look like plates from a fancy restaurant and I may use them as plates for a fancy dinner. They would be perfect for a dinner for two! But they are actually serving platters and they do work perfectly fine for that purpose. I like the textured surface on these platters. They give me a feel of Mediterranean dishes.They are sufficiently deep so that food should not spill over (unless you overload the platter). Each platter is a good size as well. The platters I had before I got this are all hand-me downs from my parents so they are all at least 60 years old and only one of those is about the size of these. It's a little bit run down so I really wanted some new platters for my kitchen. These are a perfect set to update my serving experience.They have gone through the dishwasher without an issue although it was a tight fit. I have a portable dishwasher that only holds about the amount of tableware for two people for one meal so it's quite small - most people will not have the fit problem.Putting one of the platters in the microwave requires removing the turntable. They are a bit too large to go around, at least in my model.I haven't tried putting them in the oven but that isn't something I normally do with dishes. These are supposedly oven-safe and refrigerator-safe dishes. I'm sure the platters will not have a problem going into the refrigerator.These are nice platters if you are in the market for some.Recommended.
