These plates are all I use when food needs to be cut on a plate, as opposed to precut on a cutting board. My knives stay sharper, and no more nails-on-chalkboard dragging of knives across stoneware plates.They eventually split where the wood is bonded together, but they're usually pretty well cut up by then anyway.
Even though I read the dimensions, they were smaller than I expected. My own fault. We use square dinner plates so it works with those. However i can't add a salad dish, etc. We sit in front of the TV to eat. I like the weight and sturdiness.
The chargers are little smaller than expected but they work well with my plates. The quality is exceptional and beautiful on my table. I am very happy with how they add to my decor.
We bought these for our motorhome and they are perfect!

That item was not new, it was used before
I like the square shape, the size, the color, and the wood grain. The issue is that the seams don't match up on one plate (of the 4) from day 1: 3 stars means that 3 are usable but #4 will be unusable soon. This means that water, food... will inevitably not be removable and the plate will split. I will do more research on other wooden plates in the future instead of re-ordering these. If you purchase, I recommend inspecting these immediately to be sure the seams line up (the plate is completely smooth and sealed). If it is not, request a replacement or return immediately.
