Works great, fruit doesn’t stick to it, cleans up easy.
Works great for fruit leather and fits perfectly in the Excalibur.
cuts drying time vs parchment paper
Product is good, Amazon as a company has gone completely down hill and is terrible, customer service-terrible, shipping- terrible- don’t ever expect your package to actually arrive when Amazon says it will. Zero stars for Amazon as a company.
Fit the dryer perfectly!!!
I got these for my mom to use with her new dehydrator. She said the trays were a little too large for her machine, but she easily trimmed a few down with scissors to make them fit. They’re flexible and clean up easily for reuse. She mentioned that food seemed to take a bit longer to dry when she used them, though it’s hard to say if that was from the mats or just getting used to the new dehydrator. Either way, everything still came out fine in the end.She ended up keeping a few full-size sheets to use in the oven under pans to catch spillover and keep things tidy — they hold up to that job fine. Overall, a good value and useful for more than just dehydrating.
These reusable silicone dehydrator trays can be used, washed and reused. They look brand new after washing. They're pliable, so need support of a baking sheet to lay flat. More on lying flat below, because I do not have the dehydrator they're designed for. Instead I used these in our large toaster oven which accommodates a typical 13" frozen pizza (a standard frame of reference for toaster ovens) and our range which has one extra large oven for a large turkey and one extra small oven which heats up fast and is our go-to oven if not using the toaster oven.We grow more summer vegetables than we can eat (40 tomatoes, 25 peppers, etc.) so look for ways to use and preserve surplus vegetables after giving as many as possible to friends and neighbors. In these pictures I show how I used these trays to dehydrate various mild and hot peppers. You need to know that these are square shaped and don't fit naturally into a standard baking sheet for your oven. And they're bigger than the internal dimensions of our large toaster oven. The material is soft and can be trimmed with scissors. You don't need a flat edge or utility knife, a simple pair of scissors will allow you to cut a nice straight line if you want the sheet to lay flat within the edges of a baking sheet. I think it's better to lay flat so movement of the tray to and from the oven, or checking doneness, doesn't cause the items to roll down the slope and crowd one another. You want space around the items being dehydrated so they get even heat and are done at the same time. I used a trimmed and untrimmed sheet as a test.Again, I don't have the dehydrator these are designed for. Pictures show how they slope if part of the tray extends over the ridge of the baking sheet. I did not use an "edgeless" cookie sheet, but that would probably not require trimming. I trimmed one dehydrator sheet and it fit great (picture). Pictures show peppers on that sheet and peppers on an untrimmed sheet. All the peppers came out great and can be stored for a long time and used as-is for flavor, or ground into a powder for seasoning. They do turn white if you do the pinch test.
