Bought these to make portions that work well in the freeze dryer. I still cut the nearly frozen portions up so the drying cycle is faster. I like that the trays go into the freezer and the food easily comes out. Also dishwasher safe - we put them on the top rack. I do wish they had a cover but I use tin foil and the food isn’t in the freezer long enough to get freezer burn.
These silicone molds are awesome.
I wanted a mold to bake some oatmeal applesauce bars. The mold is the perfect size for my purposes. I found the mold was easy to fill and generally easy to handle. Just put the mold on a baking sheet before filling it. I first tried it with some oil to ensure that they didn't stick. They worked so well I then tried it without any oil and it worked just as well. It was best to wait until they were complete cool before turning out the bars.Clean up was very easy, I just stuck it in the dishwasher.
Works great! My only complaint is they could be sturdier.
These work well and are so easy to clean. Put them on a cookie sheet for baking to make it easy to lift in and out of the oven.
I use these to make bar-shaped dog treats and they do the job well. The treats are composed of meat and vegetables and are dehydrated, not baked, so I can't speak for how well the silicone holds up in the oven. But the bars pop right out (par-frozen for about 15 mins to help retain the shape) and clean up is a breeze.
Love these! Great for making granola bars. Put them on a cookie sheet and bake as you regularly would.
