great for shredding chicken or other meats
This works great for shredding any cooked meat. It says chicken shredder, but I've used it for beef, and pork too. It's great for making shredded meat tacos! This is extremely easy to use, and I like that the top is see through so you can see how much you are shredding without having to keep taking the lid off to check. This is a nice large size, and will hold a larger cut of beef or chicken, I've seen others that were about half this size and you had to cut your meat in pieces to fit it in the shredder. This will hold a much larger size piece of cooked meat, which is really convenient. You just put lay your meat on the bottom spikes, put the top on over the meat, and start rotating back and forth, until your meat is shredded to where you like it. There are four suction cups on the bottom to hold it in place while you're rotating for shredding. Clean up is easy, just rinse under water, and then pop into the dishwasher. If you have to hand wash, I recommend using a brush, as its not easy to get in there around those spikes with a sponge or rag. If you rinse as soon as you are finished using it, everything just washes right off very easy. This makes it really easy to shred cooked meats, and is so much faster than picking at your meat with two forks to shred. It is also a lot neater and cleaner than using a hand mixer to shred meat. I've tried them all, and this is the quickest and easiest way I've found to shred meat.

Between this and the new ricer we got, I’m not sure which one is more useful for our house. This comes with what you need when it comes to shredding chicken. It does not move on the counter when you spin it. Make sure your chicken is still hot when you try and use this. It makes using this WAY easier. The quality is okay after using it a few times, at first I was definitely a bit skeptical. It comes with a brush to scrub around the points a sponge would miss. The size is actually quite big and can easily fit a whole breast in it. I mean, it works easily with minimal effort and I would suggest anyone who shreds chicken for any meals at all to try this. You guys, this is hands down the single most useful kitchen tool I've gotten in a long time! I shred chicken at least once a week, sometimes more, and this tool makes it so easy and fast- too fast, because it's actually fun to use and ends too quickly. I used one pound of chicken for a casserole and chose to split it into two batches, so it had room to move around. You can shred it as fine or chunky as you like. The bowl is a decent size, and once you place the lid on and hold the two knobs, a simple back and forth ( windshield wiper) motion, shreds the chicken in (literally) seconds.I used to shred by hand or with claw tools and always dreaded it- now I actually look forward to it. Assembly was easy; I didn't even need to look at the instructions. The suction cups on the bottom really keep it in place while in use. It came with tongs, though they were different from the ones pictured.Clean up is easy, though I still had to wipe between the spikes with warm, soapy water to remove all the grease. The brush is also great for cleaning other kitchen tools I had to use.If you shred meat regularly, this is a huge time saver and tool you'll actually enjoy using. It's sturdy, comfortable to use, and seems built to last, and it delivers consistent, restaurant quality meat every time.
