It Works Even For a First-Time Baker

I've never baked anything before, but I decided to see how badly I could make some recipes from the New York Times as well as reproduce a pizza made by a close friend. I went for the pizza first and it worked out very well. Obviously, I had to figure out how to prepare the dough and ingredients, but the part that always scared me was actually getting the dough rolled and shaped precisely (and cleaning up any mess afterwards).This product comes with a rolling pin, a block for cutting the dough and a mat on which to roll the dough, plus an easy "map" (?) to follow (pictured on the right) to insure you're getting the shape and size right as called for in the recipe. All of this worked very well. The mats are non-stick and very easy to clean, and the roll and block work exactly like one would hope.My next attempt, an oven-carmelized French onion galette, didn't work as well, but only because I didn't cook the ovens properly. The baking part was perfect. I found another recipe for the same thing on Youtube that was much easier than the NYT recipe and it tasted great (I love the taste of onions).I strongly recommend this product. I'm a beginner, but this once you know how to prepare the dough this product insures that you'll at least have the start of something you can finish if you know to make the rest of the ingredients correctly. I checked out a lot of products, tried this one out, and it worked out perfectly.

This is the perfect baking tool set. I've used every piece of this set multiple times in just a week. The mat is awesome, non slip and perfect for measuring out dough dimensions. That is a huge plus. The rolling pin is flawless, but got dry very quickly after washing so I have purchased food grade mineral oil to keep it hydrated, I suggest you do the same. The silicone baking mats are wonderful. I've made cookies and biscuits on them and didn't need to use any nonstick spray at all. Highly recommend this set.

MY ONLY ISSUE IS THAT IT DOESNT FIT MY BAKING PANS AS THEY ARE SMALLER. THEY FOLD WHEN INSERTED IN THEM AND HANG OVER THE SIDES. THE MATS ARE FOR A LARGER SIZE PAN, SO I HAVEN'T GOTTEN AROUND TO USING THEM FOR BAKING, ONLY THE DOUGH ROLLING PASTRY MAT. WILL UPDATE WHEN I GET TO THAT POINT.

I have use this product about five times since I purchased it in the last two weeks. I use mostly the circle mat and roll out to do on it. It keeps my counters much cleaner. I am a very messy baker so all I have to do is pick up the mat and put it in the sink. It washes beautifully. The roller I just dust off. I think I’m going to get the marble roller because it’s heavier. The wood roller is good, but I like a little more weight. I have only use the baking sheets once and they are fine. The silicone sheets and the roller are a good value for the money.

This set is a great value, and I'm super happy with the quality. This is the perfect set for any home baker at any skill level. The rolling mat stays put on the counter so you aren't chasing it around while you roll your dough. The baking mats are awesome and fit perfectly in a regular size sheet pan. All the mats wipe clean with soapy water, I had a few patches of discoloration on the baking mats after using them, but I think that has more to do with my old, beat-up baking sheets. Would definitely recommend for anyone who enjoys baking at home!
