Potential helper with feeding family member with food restrictions
It’s a challenge to be the cook in a household where one of the people has dietary restrictions and the others are picky eaters who won’t eat the limited diet of the person with the restrictions. This has led me to needing to make soups and stocks in portions for just one person. With a set of two of these, a vacuum sealer, and a stand alone freezer, I should be able to get ahead on making extra portions of the specialty bases that the one family member requires without the expense of buying specialty foods. I can make one base all the way up to the point where I would add in the problem ingredients, and then freeze off some of the “safe” base for that family member. My goal is that he should still be able to have his favorite foods he’s had for decades of his long life without eating a completely different meal from the rest of the family.He also needs his portions controlled. This certainly is meant to help with that.The bottom of these are not as stiff as I’d like, but my additional freezer is a standing freezer, so I can dedicate a portion of one shelf to holding these until they’re frozen, and then transfer the blocks into separate vacuum bags. I think the diamond shape of the blocks might help the vacuum sealer get more air out. Vacuum bags have channels on just one side for that purpose, this would allow me to have channels all around the cube. The rim around the outside of the trays is metal and the cover wraps around the edge of the tray better than some silicone ice cube trays that I had that I found to be too frustrating to use for just making ice.If it turns out to not be good for that, the taller, narrow blocks will get used in my Stanley 40 ounce quencher, and the larger square blocks will go in with hard boiled eggs right after they’ve finished steaming. I will find a use for these, no matter what. They seem well made and I like silicone items in the kitchen.

Great for meal prep
These are great for meal prep. I was pleasantly surprised by how sturdy the top edges are. My only complaint is that it is just a two pack. But one can always buy more. But for my purposes, the ability to freeze 2+ servings is just right. I think the best feature is that you can truly freeze a whole "plates" worth. The main dish in the large area with a grain and veggie in the smaller sections. While the top edges are very solid, the silicone molds are very pliable. So if you have a lot of liquid or dense food they could crumple some when stacked on top of each other. The flip side to this is it's very easy to remove the frozen item from the mold without thawing it completely. They ran through the dishwasher just fine and stack relatively tight together which makes storage more compact. This is my first time trying something like this and this product has been great.

Great value, great quality
I make homemade bone broth batches and freeze it and use it in recipes as needed, and these are perfect for the broths I make. I make beef, chicken, seafood, pork, and vegetable broths in large batches, I had been freezing the different broths in ice cube trays, but these are so much better. The different size spaces are perfect for freezing the broths in different amounts, If the recipe only calls for 1 cup I can just take out that amount, or if I need 2 cups I will take out the larger blocks, and so on. I make a batch of pork broth to test these, and they work so much better than ice cube trays. The silicone makes it easy to remove the frozen blocks and put in freezer bags, they are super easy to wash and put up for next time. The lid prevents the liquid from spilling out, and they also allow for easy stacking. I would highly recommend these molds for broth, baby food, or just anything you want to freeze to use at a later date. They are great quality, easy to clean, and easy to store.
