The Silicone Pot holders fit a variety of pans perfectly and include a U shaped handle for the larger pans with 2 handles. They appear well made, and have already saved me from a nasty burn. The mat serves a dual purpose in that I can use it to grab odd shaped hit stuff from the oven, or set hot pans and dishes on it to protect my counter top. Highly recommend.
These are the perfect solution to my problem with using a cast iron skillet. I was having a problem trying to move it around. The handle was always too hot to hang on to. I was using a towel hoping I could make due, but these are much better and safer. Glad I purchased them.
Get the right size, if it fits well it works really well. Overall I truly recommend.
This set works as described and fit perfect on my cast iron and stainless stockpot handles. Please use caution while using handle holders as it is still pretty hot on its own and you may need the additional pinch mitt or mat for additional insulation to lift skillet when cooking. The handles are great for multiple skillets/pots, the pinch mitt is easy to slip on and off and the mat is nice for removing hot items from the stove or oven and to rest hot pans on the table. I purchased the Silicone Hot Handle Pot Holder Set Of 5 Mix (5-Pack) For Cast Iron Skillets & Cooking, Mini Handle & Assist Handle, Trivet, Oven Mitt, Pot Holders, Trivets, Spoon Rest, Jar Opener, Coaster, Black I bought this to make my girlfriends life easier. I am a big fan of using our skillet and she has been trying to get on board with it. The big issue is that it is big and heavy and she always has issues moving it around, mainly getting a towel to cover the handle just right so she doesn’t catch that little side peace of her hand and burn the living hell out of herself. So to get to the point, I figured some handles would make that a non-issue anymore. Long story short, it doesn’t. She really doesn’t use them unless we are cooking something simple on the stove top. I tried briefly to use the handles but that ended quickly. Just too much to put on and take off. They do fit nice and snug though. However, I may be biased because I just like using a towel. I find it simple and effective, call me old fashioned. Our other big issue is that we cook a lot on both the stove top and in the oven so the handle becomes pointless because it might as well be the original handle you’re grabbing after the skillet really gets heated up with these handles on. Funny enough I gave this 3 stars because I actually use the silicon mat and little rubber mitt, which were the things I thought I would never use in the set. I use the mat for my morning coffee and all the stuff for my coffee press. I have used it for a hot pot here and there with no issues but, I prefer it as my coffee mat. Just sharp little mat and simple for my morning routine. It does keep things nice and neat with my morning coffee, and my lady doesn’t tell me I’m leaving coffee drips all over the place. I could also see using the mat to quickly grab hot handles like a silicon towel and might do that over using the handles. As for the mitt it’s just this nice simple thing to grab pans out of the oven and other random hot stuff. I feel a little silly like I have a puppet on my hand but hey, it works. Not sure if I would spend the money on the set again. Yes I bought this, I did not received and discounts for this product. I do think they should just sell the mat and mitt separately.Pros:- Handles fit well.- Handles are good for short cooking sessions.- Mat is simple and is flexible. Can be used for a variety of things: morning coffee/tea mat?- Mitt feels silly to use but, works and can be kept on the counter for everyday cooking use.Cons:- Handles get very hot if cooking with the skillet for a long time or on higher heats.- Handles can’t be used on a skillet being placed in the oven.
I bought these to use with my cast iron pans that need both a handle and a pan holder because of the weight. Now I have found how handy the heat pad is also. These are so useful and can be washed off with a little dish soap instead of having to be put in the laundry like my cloth potholders.
No comparison to KitchenAide. Flimsy trivet, pot handles did not fit well on my cast iron cookware and that half an oven mit is a joke. Do love that red color! Do not recommend, at all, poor quality.
