Great concept and great quality material
I had never heard of silicone liners for KitchenAid bowls before. So I had to see what this was all about. I'm not a baker, but I do cook, and when I was in culinary school, there are so many things that you learn that would allow you to use your KitchenAid mixer, such as shredding chicken, mixing ground beef with all your herbs and spices, mixing liquids together, and so much more. So I wanted to test mixing the seasonings required to make my ground beef using the mixer to eliminate me from having to wash all of my equipment and possibly store it so that it could be chilled.Mixing all ingredients was simple. However, meat does get stuck to silicone walls, and it required me to scrape some of the residue from the silicone itself. As far as quality… The quality of the silicone is thick, soft to the touch, foldable for storage, and durable when used with the mixer attachments. The rem of the bowl is also thick to allow the silicon to securely sit on the rem of the 5qt bowl. Based on the photos that I've taken, there are instances where the bowl will stand on its own. However, I do not recommend depending on that when working with liquids. The lid is also thick and good quality. In fact, once you place the lid on the bowl, it seems to have additional support standing on its own.I meal prep a lot of my foods and make my own condiments (i.e., salsa, grated cheese, mayonnaise, infused oils, shredded meats, etc.). Now I can use the silicone bowls without having to clean my silver bowl for each use. the thick rem prevents food from dirtying the 5qt bowl. The cabinet space in my kitchen is small, so using these liners eliminates that issue. Now I do not have to purchase additional (expensive) bowls which cannot be stacked and will consume a large amount of space.I mixed ground beef in the mixer, and it blended all my ingredients very well. I was able to place the lid on the bowl, and it kept my meat fresh enough for use the next day. The only negative is that the food may stick to the sides of the liner, but it is easy to remove.I also like that the bowls come in different colors. Red is used for meat, white is used for flour-based items, and black is used for vegetables and oils. The bowls are functional and can be placed in the refrigerator, allowing the use of the 5 qt bowl. They are also easy to clean. I washed the bowls by hand with ease, but it does say that they are dishwasher safe.Overall, these bowls eliminated storage issues in my kitchen, reduced the amount of dishwashing when prepping meals, and are great storage containers when refrigerating small items.NOTE!!! The lid sits nicely on the bowl, but make sure you carry the bowl from the bottom. The lid will easily come off. My daughter grabbed the grated cheese out of the refrigerator by the sides and was not holding the entire thing. We had cheese all over the floor. Use sealable storage containers for constant use. The bowls are for use with the mixer, not for long-term storage. You want to keep that in mind.

Streamlines cooking or baking
These silicone mixing bowl liners are great, especially for recipes that you have to let dough rise or if you’re making something that you need to refrigerate, like a buttercream frosting. The lid is really nice to have so I don’t have to mess with plastic wrap to cover it. I like that the lip of the silicone bowls completely fold down over the metal mixing bowl. It really secures it and helps keep the mess down. They don’t have any support so they’re not very sturdy and don’t stand up well by themselves when they’re empty. However, once they have weight in them, they get a bit squatty and squish down a bit, but they stand up on their own, and I haven’t had a problem with them falling over. I used these specifically for a cake with a cream cheese buttercream frosting and it worked out great. I made the cake in one liner and frosting in another while the cake was baking and then stuck the frosting in the fridge until the cake finished and cooled. It’s really nice not having to stop and clean out the bowl in the middle of everything. They are easy to wash in the sink but also do great in the dishwasher. This isn’t a must have item for me, but it’s definitely a nice addition to my mixer and streamlined my process a bit. At the time I ordered the price of $43 seems a little high but not outrageously high. If you use your mixer a lot for several things at once, these are a nice addition that makes things a little easier.

No more waste for me, and less mess.
Anytime I use my mixer it always seems like I'm scrambling too find some sort of way to save leftover of whatever I made and unfortunately sometimes it's not that easy. I use this the other night and I made way too much, not me, and I was able to lift it out of the bowl put the lid on it and put it in the fridge and the only thing I had to clean was the mixing whisk itself. The bowl stayed clean. Now for the next few days, anyone can go in and get a helping of what they want for their dessert and there's no issue. A bonus is the fact that it's silicone so it cleans super easy. One thing that I really liked was the fact that it's thick and is very durable but it fits perfectly in my mixer. The only thing is I found suction was not my friend when putting it in the bowl but it's not a big deal it's not like you fight with it it's just you have to put it in and make sure you pull one side towards the middle so as you put it in all the air doesn't get trapped in there but once it's in that's also a bonus that helps it stay in. I don't know why I haven't even thought about looking for these in the past but I can tell you I will never go without them again.
