Thick & Durable

These silicone liners are well made with quality materials and I feel they will last through many uses with my KitchenAid mixer. I got these so that I could keep my bread dough in them after mixing it in my mixer. I can mix it up and remove the liner bowl to allow my dough to rise. These liners are nice and thick, and take up quite a bit of space when extended to their full size, but you can squish them down flatter and stack them. So far I have found they pop up into an expanded state easily and stay that way as long as needed. I hope that with continued use they maintain their strength and shape. I have used them to make bread dough in and they have cleaned up easily by hand. I have not tried washing them in the dishwasher because they take up a lot of space, but I bet that would be great too. I took off one star because wow these are a bit on the expensive side. While they are good quality and durable, I wonder if they were sold one at a time, instead of three, to reduce the overall cost to consumers they might be more accessible. I don't really need three, and could do with purchasing one. Just a thought.

It really depends on how often you use your mixer

Whether this product offers good value depends on how often you use your mixer and whether you are mixing different items at the same time. They fit nicely in my stand mixer, the top has just enough grab to stay on, but is not too tight. They are heavy enough to hold up over time and I think they are a quality product. When I am mixing multi ingredients and want to keep them separate and possibly store for a later time in the refrigerator, they easily justify their price. But only if I am doing that frequently would I purchase this product.It certainly makes cleanup a breeze and I like not having to constantly clean the bowl while I am cooking. The price you pay for that is that you must find someplace to store the product when not in use. This is the main reason my daughter-in-law (who would actually benefit from this product) is not all that enthusiastic. They can nest and squish down, but still require scarce cabinet space to store.

Too Big For 5 Quart Bowls

As you can see in the attached photo these are too big to fit in the 5 Quart Tilt Head Kitchen Aid Mixer bowl. These are much thicker then I was anticipating and that does allow them to have a good structure where it could stand up on its own outside of the bowl. However due to how big they are they were not realistically usable and I wouldn’t recommend these. I did not find a good value for the money with them.

Good Idea, Poor Execution

These silicone bowl liners sounded useful, but in practice they’re frustrating. The fit is inconsistent and they tend to shift during mixing, which defeats the purpose. The lids also don’t seal particularly well. They are super durable and easy to clean.The silicone itself is fine, but the design needs improvement. This could be a helpful product with better tolerances, but as is it’s more hassle than help.

Fits perfectly in my 5qt mixer bowl, Kitchenaid Artisan Series

These silicone liner bowls are something I didn't know I needed! They are great for making cookies dough that needs to be refrigerated after mixing. The lids fit nicely and protect the ingredients until you're ready to use them. I have the Kitchenaid Artisan mixer which comes with a 5 qt bowl and these liners fit perfectly in the original bowl that came with the mixer. They are easy to clean and are dishwasher safe.I think it would be nice to offer them for sale individually because most people aren't going to need three of these liners.
